It features an open-concept floor plan, locally inspired decor, and ultra-modern appliances for your convenience. Relax and enjoy the outdoor views from your private deck or take a short drive downtown for more sightseeing. The Space: Space: BEDROOM With inspired artwork and calm lighting, this one-bedroom home is designed to help you unwind and settle in. The bedroom features an extremely comfortable Queen size bed with pillows and linen for amazing nights of sleeping. BATHROOMS The gorgeous bathroom has an elegant vanity area and a full-size shower with custom tile behind sliding glass doors. A hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner and body wash are always well stocked so you don’t need to worry about bringing yours from home. You’ll love starting your day in this sparkling clean space. KITCHEN & LOUNGE The kitchen is as beautiful as it is functional. It’s perfectly set up for making homemade meals, or reheating leftovers (from Fletcher Village Bakery and Cafe!). Enjoy your use of the coffee maker, a french press, and other kitchen gadgets and accessories. Vacationing with your four legged friend? You’ll find food and water bowls set up in the kitchen. The living room is a comfortable place to binge-watch your favorite shows or open up your laptop and get some work done. Sink into the leather sofa and enjoy the views from the large windows. The living room has soaring ceilings, a whisper-quiet ceiling fan, and a soft area rug that adds color and charm to the space. This cozy lounge gets a lot of natural sunlight and is the perfect place to relax. OUTSIDE SPACE You’ll find this home in a quiet, residential cul-de-sac surrounded by trees. The property has a private driveway, a small side yard, and a private balcony. Out here, you can sit back in the lounge chairs and sip coffee with a view or enjoy a good book in the shade. This balcony overlooks the side yard and the wooded area behind the home. Guest Access: This is a cottage located above a detached garage. The structure is adjacent our primary residence. The cottage is accessed by and exterior stairwell that leads to your own private deck. The Neighborhood: Located less than 5 minutes from the Asheville Airport, 10 minutes from Sierra Nevada and 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Our cottage is also centrally located to all the outdoor activities the Asheville area has to offer including Mills River, Brevard, Dupont and Bent Creek. Place was clean, washer/dryer worked, and parking/getting in were straightforward. There is a sign on the door that cleaners will be there right at checkout, and they meant it. We were out of the place but not out of the parking spot right at checkout, and the cleaners were waiting to pull in! We booked one night very last minute to gap fill our wedding weekend after a major cleanliness issue at our previously planned rental through a different site, so finding a really clean place was such a relief. Location is as described - there is no mountain view etc. because it is very much in a neighborhood. That said, the place is raised off the ground and really surrounded by tree canopy. This lends a feeling of being in the woods, even in the neighborhood setting. Very convenient to nearby shopping and restaurants in Flat Rock, Saluda, and Hendersonville (and of course Asheville). Friendly neighborhood and perfect spot for a short stay. There is a different table than island pictured, but I liked it better- more suitable for laptop and working from home. Thanks for being so welcoming to four-legged babies! The home was incredibly cozy, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The location was ideal, being so close to Asheville – we could easily explore the city and then return to our peaceful retreat. We loved the attention to detail in the décor and the comfortable furnishings. The bed was especially comfortable, which was a big plus after a day of sightseeing. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to enjoy a lovely homemade breakfast. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and we would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a charming and convenient place to stay near Asheville. The neighborhood was great for walking, it was convenient for both of us to get to work in Brevard & Asheville and the communication with Cate (&Mike) was excellent. Bed was very comfortable as was the couch. We didn't cook, but the kitchen seemed like it had everything you would need. Our favorite thing was the sweet welcome note & treats for the dogs.
