Stunning views

Perfect spot for a getaway. The viewing deck was great for sunset. And we definitely took advantage of the stellar views from inside the house as well since we were here in early spring and it was still a bit chilly. The upper deck was my favorite spot in the house and was ideal for reading a book while I sipped my morning coffee.

Fabulous Vacation

The house provided every need we could have thought of. They even provided chairs in every location that provided a view or a cozy spot outside. Seriously, there were cozy chairs on both outside decks, large table and chairs by grill, chairs for firepit, chairs at the edge of property above the lake, chairs at two locations on the long stairway to a heavenly beach. Even on the front porch! We spent every night on the beach watching the sunset. Nothing to complain about.

Beautiful, well-supplied, clean and peaceful

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was beautiful. The house was very clean. The kitchen was incredibly well-supplied which made cooking simple. Lots of stairs to the beach, so we definitely got a work out. :D We had one problem/concern and we were able to quickly connect with management. Appreciated being on the quiet street. It was the perfect peaceful retreat.

Cozy, beautiful, clean!

The home was perfectly clean, fully stocked and beautifully decorated. You could sit and view Lake Michigan from the dining room, two bedrooms, upstairs large porch and downstairs large porch. Beds were all comfortable. Short drives to Saugatuck or South Haven and to delicious cidery/winery. The beach sand area was small and had a lot of debris but we didnt need it and enjoyed the view. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend.

Honestly pretty ideal

A very cute little home near the towns of Saugatuk and Douglas with romantic views of lake Michigan. Feels remote while still very accessible. Owners supplied cord wood which was very handy for the fire pit one chill late October evening.

Great escape

We were looking or a quiet location with views and lake access and this house didn’t disappoint. Well decorated and spacious but still a cozy retreat. Just a short drive to town and other nearby spots like breweries and apple orchards. What a find!

Beautiful Property - Cozy home

The home was vey cozy. It was a cool, rainy weekend and the fireplace was appreciated. We all slept great. The cons: The water has a terrible smell. The fruit flies and flies, throughout the house, were very annoying. Overall, I would recommend this house.

Lake Michigan Surprise

We were amazed at the view of Lake Michigan from the house and yard. The house is updated and well supplied. We had everything we needed, including a dry stack of firewood to use at the fire pit. The location is private and conveniently located to attractions. We will be staying again!

Fantastic stay

Everything you need for a lake getaway

This home (and private beach) was absolutely lovely! Everything was so clean and beautiful, and the listing pictures did not fully do it justice. It was a luxurious stay in such a pretty place for our family of four. The beach and neighborhood were quiet, and you could walk forever without meeting another soul. We were very blessed to stay here This home had everything we wanted!

Awesome house and location!

We stayed at this house for a post-Christmas winter getaway, and it did not disappoint! The house is right on the water, with incredible views of the lake from the kitchen and 2 of the bedrooms. All of the bedrooms are a good size, and the primary is especially spacious with a great en suite bathroom. The kitchen is phenomenally well-stocked (the best of any VRBO we have ever stayed in), and we enjoyed making meals there. Previous reviews mentioned the squeaky floors, and it is true they are somewhat loud (probably some more throw rugs would help), but they weren’t a big issue for us. The house is in a very quiet, picturesque neighborhood and well-located for day trips to Saugatuck, South Haven, Fennville and Holland. We also enjoyed walks in the neighborhood (saw lots of deer!) and on the frozen beach as well. We would definitely return here again!

Wonderful escape

We really enjoyed our stay. Just me my husband and our 3 kids went for a week. The house is exactly how you see it on the listing and very clean. The view is beautiful. It’s 79 stair steps down to the sand (yes we counted) but even my nearly 3 year old handled that trek multiple times. The beach is rocky so bring swim shoes. The house is in a perfect location between Saugatuck and Sourh Haven so it’s very easy to explore the area without driving too far which was a nice treat since we did have a few unfavorable swim weather days. The only other thing I’d say about the house is that the well water is pretty potent and the floors are very squeaky so if one person wakes up early, they’re bound to wake the whole house. I would stay here again. Super quiet and peaceful at this beach front property. Definitely feels like you’re escaping the world :)

Great location and house!

Some actual beach access, and great sunsets. Close to Douglas/Saugatuck, but also in a very quiet community right on the shoreline. Great fire pit and nice renovated house! Can't wait to return!

Lovely farm house

This little house is perfect for a little family getaway. The lake view is breathtaking! We stayed for four nights 🌙 It was so relaxing. Each evening we drove to Saugatuck to eat. We spent most of our time at the house by the water. It's very worth the money.

Winter visit

The house is just as it looks in the pictures. Everything has been redone recently and is super clean and super new. The kitchen is adorable and very user-friendly. We loved watching the sunsets. Cooked meals in the kitchen. And even enjoyed the puzzle in the TV cabinet. Only wish to visit when we could take advantage of the great patio and decks and the beach. Note that the house has two queen beds and one double. Just a reality in the small outskirts towns, the water at the house has that eggs smell which did not go unnoticed. Especially prominent in the showers. That being said it is clean water! We’ve had this with other small town houses… The house itself is fabulous! Easy drive to Saugatuck and Fennville and grand Haven. Definitely recommend this home!
