Fairview Secret Garden Guest Cottage is truly a slice of heaven in the heart of North Carolina. The location is absolutely perfect — private and peaceful, yet still close enough to everything you need. We loved the walkability to the local small brewery, which gave the trip an extra fun touch. The views are stunning, and the cottage itself offers just the right mix of comfort and seclusion. It felt like our own little retreat, tucked away from the world. The patio space was so peaceful and I could have sat outside looking at the mountain in the distance for hours. What really sets this place apart, though, are the hosts. They were the most gracious and welcoming people — available when we needed them, but always respectful of our privacy. You can tell they truly care about their guests’ experience.We’ll absolutely be back to this magical North Carolina escape. There is so much good information provided, in the rental, including a hand drawn map showing where the local coffee shop and grocery shops are. Sitting in the courtyard, you do feel like you're in an oasis, though it would be easy to get just about everything you need within a short walk or a short drive (Dollar General a few mins away by car for items beyond a grocery store). I enjoyed the feel of the rental, with its beautiful floor, controllable track lighting and warm lamps. Also enjoyed that the surfaces were available for use, not cluttered. I loved the space, and the courtyard outside to hang out and relax. Rebecca a great host. Easy to reach and to help you. The cottage is a lovely space, comfortable for a family of 3 or 4 or friends who would want to share. Uber and Lyft can pick you up very easily if you do not have a car. Very convenient with the supermarket right behind, like a mile away. We did not really go to Asheville but it is only 15 min away give it or take. Comfy beds, lovely outdoor patio, clean spaces, everything we needed for a 4 day stay. Plus the location in Fairview is close to restaurants, the grocery, and a 10 minute walk away from the fun ice cream shop. Rebecca was so attentive to our needs.
