I personally do not like the Honolulu atmosphere/experience. Ewa beach feels relaxed - much like my childhood experience in a New Orleans suburb. We walked a lot on the beach and the street and had many pleasant conversations with locals. The beach is never crowded. Sunrise over Diamond Head is spectacular. The accommodations are exceptionally clean. We had no problems at all. This is not 5 star luxury, but if you are looking for a quiet, homey place, this is the one! Pros - unit was clean, fairly updated, beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, direct beach access, beach chairs and other water stuff, decent parking. Cons - Neighborhood is questionable and somewhat noisy neighbors, not a walkable neighborhood, the AC does run hotter in the master bedroom, back bedroom smelled of mold, the beds are too low, no dressers in the bedrooms, no stove ventilation so you will need to open the windows while cooking on higher heat settings. Reviewer Comments: Stayed for 90 days for work, it was a great place to come home to. Room to park two cars. Very short walk to the beach. House had everything needed for a long stay. Management company was very professional and quick to respond to issues, replaced propane for shared grill the same day that calls were placed. The only complaint was there are two other rental homes on the same lot and for a couple weeks there were other renters that made a mess of the public/shared areas including the grill.
