"For anyone looking for a completely different stay in London, look no further. The boat has been very tastefully renovated to the highest standards. My family stayed in the media room which is filled with CDs, videos, dvds and books. The only trouble is that you can’t play any of them unless you bring your own CD/video/dvd player and hook up to the tv. "What a delightful little houseboat! Three friends and I stayed here for three nights during our trip to Amsterdam, and it was such a memorable experience. Han, our host, was incredibly kind—he greeted us upon arrival and even helped us carry our large suitcases onto the boat (which was no small feat given the precarious path!).He gave us a quick tour, explained how to use the four bikes available for our use, and had thoughtfully stocked the fridge with some drinks to welcome us. "This houseboat is located 1/2 a block from the metro station, so getting to Amsterdam Central is a short trip. There is a grocery store three blocks south. The rental bikes are located across the bridge, a short five minute walk. We rented them for the stay and it was really enjoyable to bike around the city, especially through Vodelpark! We tried the hot tub boat - a unique experience but it did take two hours to heat the water by wood fire, and given that it was early April it was chilly....

When we checked in we found that we were booked for a “Garden Unit,” meaning a boat parked on the grass several meters away from any water. Your view from such a unit will likely be weeds, not water. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat.
