The owner was very welcoming and communicated throughout the whole process. The location was great, within walking distance of everything, but also very close to a trolly stop. Some of the fixtures could be updated, but it was very clean and overall a great place to stay. The cottage is 2 small floors built on a hillside overlooking the woods. The top, entry floor contains a king-bed & living room with fireplace/TV. A stairwell at the rear of the cottage leads to the lower level with a good-sized jacuzzi tub, shower and kitchenette. Outside the rear door on the lower level is a small, covered patio with gas grill and nice view of the woods. The cottage is older, but well-appointed; contains nice amenities and everything works well! It's very distinctive (not "cookie-cutter") and is perfect for a couple's getaway. The cottage is very private with a "cozy" vibe, but still close enough to downtown restaurants/bars (about a 15-minute walk via the Magnolia trail behind the Crescent that leads to the eastern side of Spring Street).
