The cottage was so cute! The beds were really comfy and they even provided an abundance of extra blankets. The only issues we had was a lack of knives besides butter knives and the shower curtains were a little too long and we were worried about slipping on them when when we showered. I reached out to Joe about the knives and he said he said there used to be some. The bartender at the Eureka Live beer garden lent us one. How nice was that! The stairs to the house are bit difficult but you could pull around back to unload (no parking there). Otherwise, very clean, decorated lovely, limited kitchen but functional and comfortable bed. It was overpowering and when I messaged the host about the issue, his response was to open all of the doors to air it out and stated that no one else had complained. The host initially responded to me and then ignored my messages. Two of the three screen doors did not latch, and the screens were broken out so bugs and critters could get in. None of the windows in the house were able to open. They were painted or nailed shut. We decided to stick it out the first night, but when it was time for bed we realized that there was noise coming from the walls and ceiling in the middle bedroom. There was an animal/animals that had made a home and made noise all night. In the morning, we left and found another place to stay. I requested a refund for the last three nights we were to stay and am still waiting for my money back. Do not let the pictures of this quaint cottage deceive you. This experience was terrible, and I would not recommend this cottage or host to anyone. ##### Allison M.
