There is a large deck around the house and a lower deck located right by the Smith River. After a day of swimming, fishing, kayaking, rowing, biking, hiking or exploring, you can return to the house to relax for a BBQ, roast marshmallows or just enjoy the river view only 30 feet from the deck. The large living room and fully equipped kitchen have large windows to enable you to cook indoors or outdoors while taking in the beautiful view including the flowing river. With 1 bedroom and a full bath downstairs, it is easy to get a restful night sleep. The two additional bedrooms and a full bath located upstairs provide an abundance of sleeping space for everyone and a great view of the redwoods that surround the property. Its best features are the surrounding redwood trees, close proximity to the river and its very own waterfall. By the way, if River's Bend is booked for your desired time we have just opened up two more vacation rentals in Crescent City by the lighthouse. Check us out! Lighthouse Point is VRBO #2897216\. Only complaint we had was the hot tub was dirty. We were really looking forward to spending our time in the tub, but not this trip. ##### Wendy G. The home is right on river and has everything u can need for a comfortable stay including a jacuzzi overlooking the river. Property was near redwoods and wonderful trails. When not on river, we were hiking with redwoods and vice versa. It was 2 of us and a little parrot. Lovely time had by all. Thank u ##### Ana I. Liked having an EV charger and a clean house with a kitchen that had plenty of utensils, plates and cookware (we would have loved a kettle!). Please fix the fishing rod situation as only 1 was in working order out of the 6\.
