We stayed one night while we were transiting through to Lake Tahoe from BC. The Village Inn turned out to be a 60's/70's era motel. While the exterior of the property may have had a fresh coat of paint, our unit was dark, shabbily furnished and dirty. Hair in the tub and all over the bathroom floor. Bedding was old. Bead spread was stained. "Breakfast included" consisted of granola bars and coffee on a small countertop beside the reception desk. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Would not recommend this stay to anyone.

The room smell. The property is old. There weren’t much for breakfast. Expedia’s rating wasn’t correct. It has a rating of above 8 but should definitely be below 7. Very disappointed.

The staff were friendly. Did not like having to bring my old towls to office for more towels. Carpet was old and repairs were just a square cut and replaced. Overall i would not stay there again.
