Created by Diablo Dam, the lake is located between Ross Lake and Gorge Lake on the Skagit River at an elevation of 1,201 feet (366 m) above sea level. The unique, intense turquoise hue of the lake's water is attributed to the surrounding glaciers that grind rocks into a fine powder that is carried into the lake through creeks. Only 1 block from Waikiki it is definitely worth the price and the breakfast that is included is ample with Scrambled eggs, some kind of protein, and some kind of carb for the warm food. Fresh fruit, yogurt, a couple cereals, pastries, bread for toast, and oatmeal plus ample choices of beverages to choose from. Beach/ pool towels are included which is a nice perk! The bed was a little firm for us so they gave us a few extra blankets which helped soften it some. The check-in was smooth and the staff were all excellent and pleasant!!!"
