The quaint living room is open to the kitchenette and has a glass sliding door looking out to the patio area. Watch the mule deer and other wildlife from the patio as you BBQ on the gas grill. Off the kitchen is the Queen-size bedroom with hardwood floors, and a wardrobe closet. The bathroom has a walk-in tiled shower. During summer time, Estes Park is extremely busy; traffic congestion can make getting around challenging. We are located away from the traffic of town, while only being a few minutes away. Jesse was so accessible for any questions that we had. The cabin was just the right size for our 7 day visit. It was sufficiently stocked with the dishes and cookware to prepare our meals. Another wonderful benefit about the location of Drake's Place was it was outside of the construction happening in Estes Park and just minutes from the entry to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin was nice, clean and obviously in a great location, it could just use a few more small creature comforts such as end tables and small additions. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4\. It's an ideal space with plenty of room to roam outdoors! The kitchen and bathroom were thoughtfully stocked, and the instructions on space use were clear and very simple. The main bedroom was comfortable and clean, and the pull-out sofa was great for the boys. The cabin is tucked back into a neighborhood off a ridge, and we saw wildlife daily (mule deer and turkey). It's a few minutes from downtown and just down the road from groceries and gas. It was an excellent location for going into town or heading toward RMNP.
