Overall, we had a great experience at Buffalo Retreat. The house was exactly as pictured and very comfortable for 6 people. It is in a great location in Estes Park, a very short drive the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is also a short walk to some of the shops and a short drive to the main downtown area. This is a beautiful property and centrally located, which made traveling about and exploring really easy. The home was super clean - one of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed at! So much space and great for a family. The communication with the property management was not very good. I never received an email or text with information for how to access the home or the address and when I called no one answered. I waited and received a lukewarm response via text. When I arrived there was no internet working and it was hard again to reach someone, and the response was always a text "from the property manager". I never knew who I was dealing with, which made for a cold customer service experience. Additionally I was instructed to tear down all the linens and start the washing machine before I checked out. I found this odd. People go on vacation - especially with kids - to get away from doing laundry constantly. Asking a guest to do the rental bedding seems out of line. Also, this doesn't matter much during the day, but the house has no central air conditioning, so at night it was a sauna inside. Not sure if this is typical of Colorado, but it's worth knowing about.
