Experience an expansive, historic log home in the Rockies with impeccable views of Long's Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park. This luxurious cabin is located in the High Drive area just minutes from the south entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. Perfectly situated for outdoor excursions and exploring the town, Bishop's Retreat offers three floors of amazing views and comfortable living space. Enjoy a drink and take in the panoramic views while eating dinner on the wraparound deck. On the first floor, enter past a queen bedroom and adjoining full bath through the traditionally styled sitting room. Past the sitting room, the gourmet kitchen is furnished with a fusion of modern stainless steel appliances and rustic wooden accents. The dining area features an oversized rustic table with seating for ten. Curl up to watch a movie or enjoy the mountain views on the couch or the several recliners in the living room. A door next to the dining table allows access out to the wraparound deck with additional seating. Head down the wooden spiral staircase to the lower level, which features a queen bedroom on one side of the full bathroom and two twin beds on the other. Doors in both bedrooms lead out onto the lower level patio. The upper floor hosts the master bedroom, featuring a king bed, a walk-in closet and even more amazing views. Head into the ensuite full bath to relax in the shower or jetted tub. The washer and dryer are located in an adjoining room off of the bathroom. Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit. What To Be Aware Of: Allergy Alert - the owner may have had a cat/dog in the home. Please do not mail or ship anything to this home. The fireplace can NOT be used by guests. NO A/C NO Garage Door openers, access from inside Lots of steps into and inside the home. Parking for 2 cars in the garage and 2 cars in the drive way. No large vehicles, i.e. RVs, trailers. No Parties. No Smoking. No Pets. Fines apply. Quiet time is 7 p.m. Guest buys own soaps/paper items when provided starter kit items are depleted. Estes Park is a Dark Sky Community. Bring a Flash Light. BEARS in the area - secure trash, lock doors and windows when leaving. This home does not have a weekly trash pick up service. Trash will be picked up at departure. If necessary, trash will be picked up mid-stay for a nominal fee. Call the office at 970-480-8845\. Trash must not overflow the bear proof trash can or be stored in the garage or home. Local On-Call Staff available after hours for emergency issues only, i.e. gas leak, broken furnace, broken water line. We reserve the right to conduct a property safety check during long term stays. Snow removal by SkyRun at 4 inches of new snow Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups. Safety checks are at no additional charge. Mid-stay cleanings include linens change, floors, bathrooms and light surface cleaning.
