Maine truly is a year-round destination, and our home is the perfect place to be to explore the best that Maine has to offer.  Come and enjoy world famous Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor in our newly renovated 1899 Maine farmhouse consisting of 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, loft section and 3 living areas to relax.  This updated home maintains the charm of the DownEast Maine region while providing all of the modern conveniences needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation.  Brand new heating and AC (installed Dec 2023) provides year round comfort.  Decorated with local Maine antiques and artwork for an authentic experience.  ✧ Stargaze in the private backyard and enjoy the forest view while soaking in the hot tub (installed Dec 2023) or sitting around the propane fire table. Two story private deck outside the kitchen and upper bedroom (perfect little morning coffee or yoga spot). You will have the whole property to yourself - full privacy, no cameras, but we are still contactable any time.  ✧ Fully stocked kitchen - we don’t skimp on pots, pans or utensils. Serving platters, proper silverware (not plastic), lobster pot, oven trays, oil, salt & pepper provided. While the expansive trails of Acadia National Park are only about 30 minutes away, the DownEast Sunrise Trail is just a short drive from the house.  Ellsworth is the gateway to the DownEast region of Maine, with plenty of opportunities to explore beautiful trails, ponds/lakes, and iconic picturesque rocky Maine coastal views. Driving distance to Acadia National Park (<25 mins), Baxter State Park (famous for moose sightings!), and beautiful coastal towns such as Bar Harbor, Camden, and Rockland (<1 hr). We are 40 minutes from Bangor International Airport. If you need to request a ride, we do not suggest Uber, but rather recommend utilizing a local taxi service. Very clean, kitchen well stocked with pots/pans/cups everything we needed to make meals. Hot tub was clean and in order. It snowed while we were there and I communicated with the manager about snow removal and the maintenance guy was able to plow without us moving our cars. The layout was cool - two different upstairs sections with bedrooms. It is on a main road which was the only draw back to the location, but the house is a decent distance from the road. Kitchen was fully loaded great for cooking dinners. Dining room table was able to sit 10 we only needed 8 and was a great place to play games, do puzzles and eat dinner. Living room was very cozy with large tv to watch movies. (Tv could use a sound bar). Hot tub was one of the best we have ever used stayed hot even when it was 7 degrees outside. And most importantly it is only 25 min from Bar Harbor and 30 min away from most Acadia National Park entrances. House suited our group really well. Only things to be mindful of is to bring extra towels, especially if you plan to use the hot tub. House is on a main road so there is some road noise and if you had kids you would want to be mindful of that but there is plenty of privacy. Very close to cute downtown of Ellsworth. And close to plenty of easy grocery shopping. ##### Evan C. The house is beautiful and very clean, communication & responsiveness of host was great, and the hot tub was a big hit. Close to town for necessities and Acadia was just a short drive away. Three families enjoyed this wonderful house. The teenagers enjoyed their own area that included a bathroom and living room. There was also plenty of room for all of us to gather in the main living room and t the dining room. The updated kitchen was just beautiful. The hot tub was an added bonus!! ##### Darcy A.
