On one of the most beautiful stretches of the Cartecay River, this cabin has 350' of gorgeous river frontage all while privately situated on over 3 acres of land. With a fire pit complete with seating and a picnic table to enjoy a meal right at water's edge, you could spend hours here, enjoying the spectacular scenery and listening to the rush of the cool mountain waters. The large covered porch with seating and dining space also provides a great place to take in the sights and sounds of the river regardless of the weather. Inside, you will have all the comforts of home including a huge wood burning fireplace for those chilly fall and winter evenings. Rushing River Lodge has been a favorite by those staying here! In addition we provide a complimentary start-up supplies of: Toilet Tissue (2 rolls per bathroom), Paper Towels, (1 roll), Garbage Bags (2-3 bags) , Dishwasher Detergent (1-2 loads) Laundry Detergent (1 load), and Dish Washing Soap (mini bottle). Right on the rushing water of the Cartecay River and my husband had a blast fly fishing. Not the best river in the area for catching trout, but the property itself was perfect. At the end of the private road, on 3 acres where no one could bother us. We used the hot tub multiple times a day. If you cant use stairs, dont stay here because there are a lot. Lots to do nearby activities and shopping. Our family e hours out stay! A few kinks No curtains in the bedroom I stayed in or blinds over the windows. Morning sun became an issue. None in the den either. Which was great for the den/kitchen area because lighting was poor for cooking We noticed a leak under the sink in the kitchen and could only use one side of the sink Trash was knocked over every night. Too much of a house for 2 people -- too many stairs to climb to get to river, hot tub. Turn around - not good! Gravel road into property was not very good for the car (even though we have a Suburu all wheel drive). Beds too high and squeaky - needed a step stool to climb up on it. Enjoyed Ethel's painting (since I am a little bit of an artist). Great location to meet up with friends that live quite close by. ##### Lori O. You can not get a more beautiful river view than this cabin. Close to Atlanta and close to Elijay. It is well situated. The cabin was clean. Beds and bathrooms were comfortable and worked well for us. There is one way into this property. There is a turnaround down from the house. I never looked forward to using it, as it was tight and very high up. But it worked. Any issues I mention are overcome by the river view. I did wish they had better lighting in the main living area. It is all overhead and I find it glaring and uncomfortable. A couple of lamps would solve this problem. Also the TV's are really cheap and the sound is so bad it was very hard to make out what was being said. Volume doesn't help. A sound bar would save the day. Overall this is a beautiful property. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed ourselves and spent a lot of time on the beautiful decks with comfortable chairs. But the best part was sitting by the river at night with a little fire.
