We spent our days canoeing, kayaking, and tubing, and our evenings roasting s’mores around the fire and laughing together under the stars.It’s such a special place for making family memories, and we’re already talking about when we can come back again. Everything was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, and the owners clearly put a lot of care into making it a welcoming getaway. This is a gem of place to stay!Literally the only downside I can think of was that we couldn’t figure out how to get good old fashioned cable on any of the TV’s. Our stay was absolute perfection! The lodge easily accommodated us (the grandparents), 3 sets of parents, each with 3 children - ages infant to 18 years. We all slept very comfortably, in our own space. The lodge is stunning, with everything we needed. We brought food and drink, including the makings for smores by the firepit. Although it was cold (of course), a few of our crew got in and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful river, both swimming around in it and then taking the "littles" out one at a time, in the canoe that was provided with the lodge. We enjoyed everything the ideal home had to offer and the memories our family made will last lifetimes. We can't thank the owners enough, for sharing their home with others, to allow us this special time as a family. No one wanted to leave and we are already trying to pick a date for next year's trip for an even longer stay!There is absolutely no way to be disappointed in choosing to stay at Rocky River. ##### T L. There was 14 of us that stayed three nights for a prayer summit. It was beautiful, inside and out! There were plenty of kitchen items, and the layout worked well for us! The kitchen supported several woman cooking and prepping, with lots of counter space! The water was amazing and we enjoyed the river and all the animals! The big hot tub, basketball court, volleyball court, and the river provided us with lots to do outside on top of the spacious inside area. The house was well stocked with kitchen items and lots of beds. No regular, unbroken ping pong balls were available though. ##### Jacob B. We found some fun things to do in the area. It takes a very long time to get to the house from the front gate but there isn’t anything you can do about that. The river was beautiful to watch and listen to and we spent a good bit of time in the cold water. Our growing family was able to comfortably stay in the rooms and have our own space while also able to be together in the common areas. We planned to leave a better score but ran into some problems after our stay. We were charged for things and spoken to disrespectfully. A teenage member of our family is non-verbal and has special needs. When she first saw the river, she was very excited and jumped up and down on the balcony really hard. Immediately following her jump, the lights globe below her crashed to the floor. We thought it was already loose, voluntarily told the owners that it broke, and planned to pay for the broken piece. When speaking to the man who owns the cabin, he told us multiple times that what happened didn’t actually happen and that they replaced the entire fan so we would be paying for the entire fan/light kit plus labor. Everything we did was done w/ integrity but it seems like Ian has some trust issues with visitors. He all but called us liars. Sarah did a great job making us feel welcome and communicating while we were at the cabin. We were excited to find a place that we could return to year after year but we don’t plan to get tangled up with Ian again. ##### April H. Séjour de 3 nuits en octobre 2024
