Step onto our wrap-around deck to behold the breathtaking views of the Holston Mountain Range. Our home caters perfectly to fishing and boating enthusiasts, providing ample space to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests across 6 beds and two couches. All children and adults regardless of age are considered a guest. This policy allows guests the benefit of hosting a larger party at a scalable price while ensuring fairness in pricing for the additional use of utilities, cleaning, and overall property wear. To avoid any discrepancies, guests must accurately enter the total number of people & pets staying at the property prior to booking. The host will review and verify the guest count before confirming the reservation, and it will be confirmed again at check-in. Any misrepresentation of the number of guests may result in additional charges, cancellation of the reservation without refund, or denial of access to the property. ACCESS: Each guest will be provided a custom lock code to enter the home once they provide an ID for renter verification and verify the number of guests and pets that will be staying. PETS: Pets are allowed and must be included when you submit your booking. We allow up to two dogs that are 50 lbs or less. There is an additional $100 pet fee. BUGS & CRITTERS: Please note that we routinely spray the property for bugs and insects, however, if you do run across any flies or critters please note that you are staying in a log cabin near a pasture. To help prevent this, please keep all doors and windows closed. It has a lot of windows and we enjoyed watching the cows across the street, and we also saw baby lambs. The long mountain views are awesome - we saw them covered in snow!The inside of the cabin is nice and new; although minimally decorated. The beds were very comfortable; everyone enjoyed them.One interesting aspect of the cabin was the flies. It was strange seeing so many of them in the winter with temps in the teens. I suppose they're hibernating nearby. But in any case, there were many flies inside the cabin. Thankfully, they had plug in devices that attracted and killed them. But we swept up flies almost daily. Can't hardly imagine what it would be like in the summer. Maybe it's from the cows across the street, IDK.Anyway, a few ideas to make the stay even better for guests, and get to a "Premier Host" level:A few throw blankets in the living room. It gets chilly with all those windows. A few spare pillows in the bedrooms.Glass drinkware. At LEAST one set! It's no fun drinking out of plastic cups for Christmas dinner. A set of four or six GLASS wine glasses.More hand towels and kitchen towels. One dish towel for a week stay with cooking and cleaning in the kitchen is just not sufficient. One hand towel for each bathroom was also insufficient.I think this cabin is mostly meant for fishermen on the Watauga, but it could be much more with a few changes. The cabin size and the amenities were perfect. Considering the devastation of the hurricane to East Tennessee, we were so worried about the trip. The host was very helpful on different things we could do and even have snap shots for the directions. It was a fabulous time! Thank you so much!! Plenty of entertainment inside and out. River access is close but not the safest by foot. We found that driving and parking at one of the boat ramps was better and safer. 2 min drive. No icemaker which is fine but ice trays would have been an easy remedy. The grill is nice, we used it for burgers. There was not a grill cleaning brush or grill utensils; again easy remedy. Overall we had a blast, my boys did not want to leave. ##### Altman N. It was very clean, new, and nicely decorated. The host was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. It is located on the outskirts of Elizabethton, in a little area called “dog town”. It is easy to get to, paved roads, pretty views. The cabin is kind of close to the road. Be careful because lots of people fly down the back roads in this area. But beautiful yard and views. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if ever in the area. ##### Kacie C. We had an easy check in process and the owner was pleasant. The only issue we had was a water leak in one of the bedrooms with a queen bed. We couldn’t sleep in the bed one of the nights we were there, and we were unable to use the upstairs shower/tub one day as well. I notified the owner and he wasn’t able to get someone to fix it until after our check out day/time, but he was very nice about it. Overall, I would recommend this property, no bed for one night and not having the extra shower was a little inconvenient for our last day there ##### Kayla L.
