But we like to use just rubber worms night crawlers on our poles in the creek and we have caught some Large bass ! Lakes in the immediate area are Juno, Christiana, Painter Lake, Eagle Lake, Simonton Lake, and the Saint Joseph River is nearby. Coming to Kayak? You picked the best spot! WE are located on the beautiful Christiana Creek. This popular kayak creek runs from Juno and Christiana Lake down the creek and all the way to the Saint Joseph river. Our location is prime because you can take both long and short trips down the creek. You can drop in on Juno's landing and end at our home in about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on the current, or take A short 20 minute trip down the creek and get out just down the road from our house on Redfield landing. Or you can get in right in the back yard and ride it down to the Country Road 6 landing. That trip also is about 2.5 hours as well. ( We have 4 Kayaks on Site and can be used if pre arranged with the owners) Life Jackets are provided as well and must be worn on the creek. A great resource for Kayaking also is www.paddling.com Looking to enjoy some Pontoon/ Fishing? We have a connection with a Marina that takes good care of our guests needs. They are located in Cassopolis, MI just A short drive away. They offer Many fun rentals! Many of our guests call ahead and have a pontoon boat waiting for them to enjoy for the day, or they rent speed boats, paddle boards, tubes, fishing boats to enjoy on the beautiful Diamond Lake. Bedrooms are spacious, mattresses are comfortable. Games room offers lots of fun activities for people to play together. Outside space is lovely, and the fenced yard was great for our pup. The Very roomy layout with multi-levels allows everyone a large place to gather as well as enough space to spread out. The plethora of games always keeps the kids entertained, and the wildlife viewing in the backyard and on the creek was amazing. This was the perfect property. House was nice and big, tons of room for everyone. I’ve never been to a house with so many activities provided on property. There is something to do for all ages. The house was clean, well organized and had many amenities. We had lots of fun swimming in the creek and hanging out on the large patios. But were also able to enjoy the surrounding area, the Warren State Sand Dunes were close and great and the kayaks/tubes at the house were perfect for afternoon on the water. Kristy was a fantastic host -- extremely responsive, helpful and fair. When I travel, I prefer to stay in a home, rather than a hotel, so I use VRBO around the world. This is the best experience I have ever had, and my friends (five other Notre Dame alums) all commented the same. Kristy's home is spacious, clean, and had everything imaginable for us to use. The kitchen is well-stocked, the bedrooms are large, the living room, kitchen, dining room and game rooms were better than we expected. Kristy's communications with us prior to our arrival and after our arrival were excellent. The neighborhood is very quiet, and the backyard is spacious and soothing. She answered all my questions, offering suggestions on what to do in the area, and was prompt in her replies. The pictures and descriptions of the house are totally accurate, which was helpful when planning sleeping arrangements, packing, etc. The house and the property are absolutely beautiful! It exceeded our expectations. There’s so much space in the house and lots to do. The outdoor space is breathtaking, we loved waking up to the beautiful views. Will hope to come back soon! My friends and I booked Kristy’s place for the Notre Dame game, and all of our families loved it. She has great attention to detail, and a really interactive set of experiences for her guests. We didn’t have enough time to take advantage of all of them. Both kids and adults absolutely loved the game room downstairs. Everything was in working order which is a very hard thing to do with a place this big. Really quiet neighborhood, but still easy to get to groceries and places to eat. It was only about a 20 minute drive to the campus. Highly recommended! ##### bryan l. We were given clear instructions on the way in, including notes about anything that might have been in process. The house was clean and had more than enough in the way of indoor games (pool, air hockey, darts, etc.) and outdoor fun (2 firepits, corn hole, kayaks, etc.). Would give a 6 out of 5 if I could! If I could give Kristy's home and her a million stars, I would, and I am completely serious. I messaged back & forth with Kristy so many times - I thought that at some point, she might lose her patience with me....it never happened. This is our fourth time renting a home through VRBO/and the other one (not to mention the other one's name!), and Kristy's home AND Kristy are the best home/host we have ever used. Kristy is so detailed, and explains everything so well..she even recorded bedroom set-ups for me so that I could decide what would work best for our family! We loved kayaking -- it was a blast! It is a very smart idea to rent Kristy's trailer...I don't know what we would have done had we not done that. The gameroom was a blast. We had one thirteen year old boy, and the rest of us were 21 or over. There were 12 or 13 of us (math is hard for me - ha)....this was the best mini family reunion, thanks to Kristy!!! ##### Amy D. The house was perfect. There was tons of space, beautifully decorated, and everyhting we needed for our stay plus a ton of extras. They had all kinds of games in almost every room and not just your boring typical board games. They had 2 actual video games-a race car and 1 filled with over 100 different games, a whole poker and roulette table, checker/chess full table, a closet of toys for kids, football, bowling for outside, baseball bat and balls, soccer balls and net, 6 kayaks, tubes and so so so much more. We had a small issue with internet 1 day, I texted Kristi and they came and replaced the router that day. I highly recommend for restaurants- Stacys, Smokin Fattys and Flippin Cow. The creek was amazing for fishing. We will definitely book again. If I had one thing to suggest for your stay would be to bring some fold up chairs for the firepit by the creek. There is plenty of seating outdoors but only stumps by that firepit. But you could haul the other chairs down there or just the firepit by the house. It is fully equipped with everything you can think of inside and out. We enjoyed the firepits and kayaking down the creek almost every day we were there. When you have a group of youths that don't want to leave the vacation house, you are doing something right! Kristy (the property host) is the best! We never left the property for the 4 days we were there. Very clean, plenty of towels, linens, both upstairs and downstairs kitchens had everything you would need for cooking. The rental had plenty of spices and condiments for items that we forgot to bring. Access across all three levels of the home was easy, especially to access the lower level (you could drive to the lower level to unload or load). Plenty of parking. We can't say enough about the games and activities for both adults and children. The creek was one of our favorite activities, between wading, fishing and kayaking, we spent hours there. The upper and lower outdoor decks offered plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors. With 2 fire pits, it was nice to have a choice to enjoy an evening fire to make s'mores or puggie pies. ##### Sharon P.
