The kitchen, dining, and living room combination will have your group sharing laughter and fun throughout your visit to Edisto. Things to Know No smoking No pets Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). I had to start from my hotel at 3 AM to make it to this location before dawn. Botany Bay Plantation is a nature preserve and has regulated visitor hours. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise - I wish they'd open a little sooner as the golden hour is pretty much more than half way done by the time one can make it to the beach. Nevertheless, it's a great location to visit at sunrise, especially if there are high clouds to add drama. Recommended to visit when the tide is ebbing as you then get the shadows of the trees, which to my eyes add more depth to the image. On this day, there was a bank of low clouds that prevented too much color but it was a great sunrise to witness nonetheless. The trees have so much character and add so much to the image. Dirt and dust on the baseboards and the sink in one of the bathrooms had sand in it upon our arrival. We checked in at 4 when we were supposed to and someone was still there doing stuff while we were unloading but it just didn’t seem like it was clean and disinfected very well. There were also a lot of cockroaches multiple times throughout our stay. We've stayed in edisto before at a different house and have not ever had an issue with cockroaches in the house. ##### meghan l. The only problem we had was with the golf cart rental. It was promised to be delivered before lunch on Friday along with a full tank of gas. We had to call around 1:00 pm because it had not arrived. We were told it was on the way. It finally arrived at 1:30 pm with a half tank of gas. The delivery person did not say anything about being late. His only commit was that a half tank of gas would take us around the island several times. The whole reason we wanted the golf cart was to help my sister in law who has Parkinson's. ##### William G.
