My only complaints are the tile flooring had severe cracks and was even missing a piece of the tile which when you have toddler’s crawling they could get hurt and the elevator wasn’t working. Carrying your luggage and groceries was tough especially for two older people going up and down those steps. Overall it is a very nice property very close to beach with lots of room. It was a wonderful space with two separate sitting areas for family to have time away from each other. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Debby that brought 2 water spouts/tornados to the island damaging power lines. We elected to cut our trip short after 2 nights at the property. So we did not get to enjoy the space as fully as we hoped. We would rent it again if it is available next summer. ##### Reed C. My husband & I and some friends stopped by. All of us in our 70's. Of course the stairs were a downer (but we knew they would be). I was hoping from the property description that it was much closer to the beach. Having never been to Edisto before we didn't realize there was a main road between Pompano and the shoreline. The yard sizes are pretty large as well, so walking to the beach everyday was not a possibility for us. There are plenty of public access points to the beach all along the shore line so it wasn't terrible to drive to an access point. However I think in the summer months there might be issues finding a parking place. You can tell this is a somewhat older property and could use some updating in regards to tile work around the kitchen & bathroom shower area for sure. Seems like there might be some leaking pipes as there is some ceiling damage; this was not a problem for us but anyone with a sensitivity to mold may be insecure with it. The double porch area at the back of the property was wonderful - getting some sun in the daytime, or getting in behind the screening once some bugs came out. It was a good place to work on puzzles or play games. We found the furniture and beds very comfortable. The super big dinner table would be great for large groups.
