We brought bikes and a canoe and were familiar with the area from multiple family camping trips. We love the outdoors and the location on the water allowed us to go on sunrise paddles have a couple lakeside campfire hot dog roasts and s'mores. Nate was awesome and so responsive before and during the trip! He provided firewood and drinking water, and lots of great advice about things to do including local resources when we had a car issue. The free pedestrian ferry ride to the lakeside restaurant was a nice perk. We have several runners in the family and since the road dead ends at the ferry, the roads felt very safe for running. The property is large with a lot of green space, and the access to the water is very nice. The only issue is that the lake is across the road, which can be lined up with cars parked and waiting for a ferry, but it didn’t interfere with our stay too much. Nate, the owner, was there to greet us and give us tips about the house and property to make our stay better. There were plenty of beds and towels and Nate brought firewood to the beach for our fire pit. Nate had a net set up in the back yard for volleyball and bad mitten. The beach setup is great with a nice deck, chairs, and lounges. The dock and mooring ball were super convenient for our boat use. Super responsive, and extremely helpful. We were a big group and it seemed like we were nonstop asking for help with firewood/sheets, etc. The house is as its pictured. It’s a pretty old cottage, the plumbing was a bit of an issue, the toilets are fragile and the one downstairs is a bit leaky. It’s worth noting the house has well water and no AC. With that said— neither were an issue. It was 80 degrees all week and somehow the house felt cool all day/night. There are plenty of fans and a portable AC unit that can cool down a room. The beds are a bit rough, they could use some upgrading. The location was amazing. The yard space is ample and there is a lot of seating. We spent our entire week outside. Great fireplace set up. The lake setting is really nice. The doc is across the road but since the road dead ends RIGHT there for the ferry, traffic slows down for you. Being that close the ferry was a huge perk, about a 15 minute drive to all of the downtowns. Overall, we had a really lovely stay. A huge thanks to Nate for being so accommodating. ##### Dominic D. He brought a generous amount of firewood out for us to the firepit. Farmhouse was charming, welcoming and well appointed. A great place for a group of friends to gather!!
