We loved the uniqueness of the property including the many sleeping areas and nooks for getting some quiet time. We enjoyed the experience of the home during heavy snowfall which included many trips along the boardwalk and watching our dog running through the snow. The heated floor was a winner after those runs. Beyond the experience of the home, we appreciated all of the amenities throughout. The kitchen was well stocked with useful appliances, basic spices, and nice cookware. There were a few minor things that need attention - light fixtures that are burnt out, the master suite’s radiant heat isn’t working in either the bedroom or bathroom which made for a chilly few nights, and more towels for the kitchen alongside easily accessible towels for the bathroom downstairs would have been appreciated. Again, these were minor inconveniences. Overall, we were sad to leave early due to a winter storm at home. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but opened it briefly and it looked clean, and it was treated while we were there, so clearly well maintained. Our friends and I had a wonderful stay and would gladly stay again. There are lots of stairs, so keep that in mind if accessibility is a priority for you (it was a bit tricky for me being 7 months pregnant). There were only four adults utilizing this property which meant there was plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another. There were a couple of downsides, one being it was right off G and there was a steady stream of traffic and the amount of stairs which was difficult for my 92 year old mother. Otherwise it was great and loved the complimentary laundry supplies which we needed and the fact that a lot of dry goods (soap, paper towels, etc.) were provided. This is a great property for someone that wants to be close to Eagle River, yet still see plenty of wildlife. We saw a baby bear on our walk one morning which was very cool. The couches were so comfy all we wanted to do was snuggle up on them with all the blankets and pillows. They had family board games, puzzles, and books.
