Guests are responsible for their pets while on the property, including any damage caused by them. LAKES: North Nokomis Lake is a 470-acre "full rec" lake in Oneida County. It has a maximum depth of 73 feet and has a public boat landing. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The approach to the lake is flat, and you can easily get from the parking area to the lake and dock without stairs. The property is located at the lake's quiet end, making for minimal boat traffic and great swimming and kayaking. TRAILS: You can take off from your ATV or snowmobile right from the home to get onto the nearby trails. Some road riding will be necessary. The lake is nice and quiet, as much of the shoreline appears to be state owned. The cabin is comfortable, and the layout is well thought out. Very cozy, beautiful view of the snowy woods and lake. Loved having the grill on the deck right outside the kitchen. The beds we used were also very comfortable. Be careful if it is snowy and icy coming in and out of the house, as there is no hand rail on the outdoor stairs. We stayed for a week. We were both able to work remotely with the WiFi at the property, even if we were streaming a show at the same time, which was great! Using an extra app was annoying. I would have preferred the property management just use the VRBO app rather than requiring a separate app: The little starter supply kits from the property manager were a nice touch, and the products are quality. It was nice to have the kitchen wipes, sponge, and dish soap especially. The dishwasher needed to be emptied when we arrived, and there is a ton of sand in the basement, which is where the washer/dryer and second bathroom are, but otherwise the house was clean and ready when we arrived. The TV is a joke. It was so bad (small and glitchy) that we ended up going and buying an inexpensive decent TV, using it for the week, and then taking the new TV home with us. We like relaxing by the fire and watching a show at night, and the TV apps kept crashing or buffering on the cabin TV. No problems with the one we bought, so not an internal issue. ##### Dayna L. The home was great with lots of space to spread out, new everything and a nice deck to sit out and watch the loons on the lake. It was great having some paddle boats, canoe and kayaks to use this lake was perfect for them. The location is near several towns that had great shopping , restaurants and things to do. Make sure you check out the meat market in nearby Lake Tomahawk for some delicious brats, steaks, walleye and other tasty items. The only negative thing about the home is the two main floor rooms are fairly small with no room for your suitcases. But we just ended up taking them upstairs in the loft to have more room but that could be an issue if you have anyone staying up there.
