« Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend...

« We like to jump on the heart of Wales train line and stay in different little places. This was just the ticket. The hotel was quite different and very quaint. Room was lovely and very romantic with four poster bed. Most of the staff were very friendly, even though they were obviously short staffed during breakfast. but I think the manager could have been a little more welcoming ! »

« Excellent accomodation which was dog friendly - lovely walks through spacious gardens and small woodland. Service was also excellent - staff helpful and polite. Dog basket - bowls on request, blanket towel and sleep pad. Worth taking your own dogs beds but these items were useful and practical. Only consideration for next visit is my elderly dog struggled with stairs and I would request a ground floor room if available as no lift »

« Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...
