Upon entering the home, you'll be taken by the massive wood Cathedral Ceilings, open floor plan, and wall of windows to the south. The front porch is screened during the summer, and an arctic entry during the winter months. Views to the South, East, and West are of mountains and forest. Our 1800 Sq ft, 3 bedroom, 3-1/2 bath, custom home was finished the spring of 2020\. It offers privacy and seclusion as it sits at the very end of the road with a 132 acre parcel to the north that you are free to access. It is 2 miles from Purgatory ski resort and 25 miles from downtown Durango. The kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The main living space features a 60 inch flat screen OLED Smart TV with Sonos Surround Sound System and wood burning fireplace (wood provided). The master bedroom is on the main floor and has a king size bed with En-Suite Bath. If you're "city folk", you might find the drive up (consisting of some twists and turns) intimidating, but it's navigable in 2WD/FWD during non-winter times. I drove it a number of times in 2WD in a half-ton pickup and another drove it in a FWD car, no issues. Now onto the visit - we had a hiccup at the beginning, but the owner stayed on top of it and got the issue resolved. After that it was smooth sailing. The photos on the listing are accurate.
