This is a rare opportunity to rent a new luxury home yet have access to the free on-site amenities at Cascade Village including an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs, pool table, outdoor tennis court, and ski rental shop (with discounts). The home is immediately adjacent to national forest with hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking, four wheeling, fly fishing and a host of other wilderness activities just out the back door. This residence features amazing views of the Needles Mountains, the signature range of 14,000 foot peaks the Purgatory area is known for, as well as Spud and Engineer Mountains. Note the owners keep their car in the one car garage, so while a car can't be parked in the garage, there is access for storing sports gear and accessing the home. Bed Configuration (Single level home) Main Bedroom - King Bed (TV) 2nd Bedroom - Queen Bed 3rd Bedroom - Queen Bed Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Cascade Village, are NOT pet friendly. The house features paved access so 4WD is NOT required on winter (Unless you happen to arrive during a major snow storm). Purgatory offers a complimentary ski shuttle to our Cascade rental guests on a set schedule 1-2 times in the AM and PM during the ski season, on a first come first serve basis. Details will be provided in your rental instructions. All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps. In late 2020 Cascade Village moved from cable TV service to all streaming services. While in-house, guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. With fast and reliable fiber optic WIFI, guests can stream on multiple devices. As with all properties at/near Purgatory, the condo does not have AC, given the day times highs are rarely above 80 while the lows are in the 40s. Open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains, and then close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. This will keep the house plenty cool. Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). The house is located 26 miles north of Durango and south of Silverton and Ouray. The house is beautifully decorated and in immaculate condition. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset under the covered furnished porch. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my 30th birthday! We had 3 couples and it was a perfect fit for us. We had a little bit of trouble getting to the house but it was dark and if we had got there earlier we would have seen it from the highway easily. This house was beautiful and felt very clean! The best part was the absolutely gorgeous morning views from the deck! We loved having our coffee outside and watching the sun come up over the mountains. I also could not believe how much wildlife we saw from this house! It was very easy to communicate with the house management and we loved having the starer kits in the kitchen and bathrooms. The local coffee we were supplied with was delicious 😋. The only thing that was disappointing was that we were never able to get into the pool at the main building. It was out of order and the place was closed early in the day so we couldn't get any info about it. We didn't pick this place for the pool access so we weren't too sad about it. We all got a good nights rest everyday. The layout is awesome. Three full bathrooms made it very comfortable. The front deck was spacious and very relaxing to kick back and enjoy the view. I did quit a bit of that. I liked having everything on one floor, no stairs to climb up and down. The location was also very nice.
