Less than 5 min to Purgatory Ski Resort and 25 min to downtown Durango. Dogs are welcome! This is a perfect place to relax after a day on the trails! This condo has a dishwasher and washer/dryer. BED CONFIGURATION: \* Main Bedroom - King Bed with TV (2nd Level) \* 2nd Bedroom - Queen Bed (Main Level) \* Loft - Pull-Out Sofa (2nd Level) AMENITIES: The property has a shared hot tub, playground, and hiking. You can also walk or bike the 0.3-mile dirt road from the condo to the Nugget Mountain Bar - they have a food truck and indoor/outdoor seating with firepits. In the summer, they also feature live music! In the summer, a bike ride to the ski resort would be easy, too. LOCATION: Silverpick sits at appx 8800 feet in elevation. It borders the National Forest and is about halfway between the historic towns of Durango and Silverton. This prime location is just 1 mile from Purgatory Ski Resort's entrance and approximately 25 minutes from downtown Durango, with scenic drives up to Silverton and Ouray. Enjoy both quiet privacy and the incomparable Needles Mountain views from this townhome, while being close enough to the action of Purgatory Resort where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events. PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone. COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s. NOTE: There is a ring camera at the front door facing out. It snowed quite a bit during our stay (in the middle of April) but the condo was warm and comfy. Although, the bad weather did make the internet go out briefly. The decorations and artwork are super cute, making the place very inviting. It was also nice to have some trial-sized toiletries and household supplies (like dish soap and a new dish sponge). I also greatly appreciated that we weren't required to clean on check-out like so many other places. We did the dishes and stripped the beds, but it was nice that we didn't HAVE to do those things.
