We want all of our guests to know upfront before booking through this website that with any cancellation, there is $150 fee. This site makes it difficult for us as hosts with how the money is handled and that is the reason for the fee.  
  
Our cottages are not just a home away from home; instead they have been purposefully built and designed with only the guests needs in mind to ensure you have the best getaway experience here!  
Feel your anxieties rustle away like dried leaves in the breeze.  
Escape the bustle and noise of everyday at the Peartree Tree Cottage. Located in the eastern hills of Holmes County, directly in the heart of the worlds largest Amish community. Just 10 minutes to Berlin, Walnutcreek, and Winesburg. Our adress says Dundee however we are in holmes county and Dundee is about 15 minutes from here.  
The cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery amidst every season and is most breathtaking in the Fall. We have wide open skies, at dusk it is a stargazer s paradise!  
Complimentary items include a pan of fresh homemade cinnamon rolls, a small loaf of homemade bread, a fresh pitcher of water, an ENDLESS supply of coffee beans to grind fresh, hot tea assortment, hot cocoa, and popcorn. We also stock the refrigerator with plenty of regular and flavored creamers, butter packets, &jelly. In the kitchen cabinets you will find sugar packets, equal,sweet and low, salt and pepper.  
A limited amount of firewood is provided for your stay, guests are welcome to bring additional firewood. Please bring kindling such as a starter brick or wood chips and a lighter to start a fire whether it be inside or outside.  
Please read instructions before starting a fire in the fireplace.  
Located on a quiet township road, guests are ensured solitude, though the lodging hosts live nearby. While the cottage is a lovely country oasis, it is only 10-15 minutes from shopping and dining in Walnut Creek, Winesburg, or Berlin.  
  
Hear the sound of neighboring buggies clip clap down the road and be reminded of the simpler life where there simply is no hurry.  
  
Wrap in a blanket and cuddle with a book next to the toasty fire during gray winter months.  
  
Relax on the deck listening to crickets and watching fireflies rise during the sultry summer twilight.  
  
If you are drawn to the great outdoors, enjoy roasting sticky marshmallows over the fire pit and cook your steaks on the gas grill.  
  
Well kept landscaping sorrounds both cottages year round and each offers a private decorative concrete patio with built in firepits. A limited amount of firewood is provided for your stay.  
  
The cottage offers plenty of amenities such as onsite massage and special order flower bouquets for that special someone.  
  
Plan a visit for overnight, or vacation in Amish Country for the week.  
  
The kitchen is stocked with pans and dishes, and there is a full laundry room.

We love the Amish Country, and this VRBO didn’t disappoint. Simply a beautiful home with everything we needed. Great place to unwind and disconnect from the busyness of life at home. We loved our time here! We brought our bikes and rode the wonderful trail in Millersburg. We will certainly be back!

From the moment we walked in we loved the Pear Tree cottage. The setting was gorgeous and everything was comfortable peaceful and cozy. We loved the hot tub at night looking up at the stars. It was the perfect romantic getaway cabin. So perfect in fact that we got engaged right in front of the Christmas tree!

Great New Years weekend getaway! Very relaxing. Beautiful little red cottage!! Very clean, well kept property. Loved the tiled walk in shower and the hot tub. Cleanest, crystal clear hot tub we have been in. The kitchen and bath were well stocked. No need to pack extra. We definitely would recommend this cottage to anyone staying in the area. #### Lovely Cottage!

My husband and I really enjoyed this lovely cottage. The location is so quiet and peaceful and the views are gorgeous. We enjoyed the homey and warm interior, and particularly the comfy reclining sofa. The close proximity to Walnut Creek, Berlin and Sugarcreek was a huge plus for shopping and enjoying lunch/dinner at Der Dutchman, Rebecca’s Bistro or Park Street Pizza. #### Perfect getaway weekend

The Pear Tree Cabin was perfect for our belated anniversary getaway. The cabin was clean and well kept. We really enjoyed having the grill and hot tub for evenings and the coffee grinder to use in the mornings. The cinnamon rolls and bread were fantastic. There were plenty of places to eat in the area and things to do. Our favorites were Park Street Pizza and the Wooly Pig Brewery. Canoeing at the NTR livery was a blast. We would certainly come back again.

#### Perfect Weekend Getaway

Pear Tree Cottage was amazing! It was so clean from the second we walked in the door - and we knew it was going to be great. The fire place, hot tub, spa shower, and kitchen that we cooked in was all in great condition and worked perfectly. Very clean, well-decorated, and cozy feeling. We had a great time! The outdoor views were also amazing on all sides of the cottage. Definitely would recommend to others.

#### Absolutely amazing!!

This property was even better than we could have imagined. It was so quiet & peaceful. Relaxing in the hot tub when the air nipped your nose was so delightful. The cottage was immaculately clean. Marilyn was very quick to reply to any questions we had even if it was 9:30 at night! What could be better than fresh ground coffee & a maple cinnamon roll. Both were complimentary as well as a wee loaf of homemade bread. One thing we did wish for was an iron & ironing board to iron our dresses. This was one of the best vacation homes I ever stayed at. If I could give it a 10 \* rating I would!! We can’t wait to come back again for a visit.

#### The Perfect private getaway

My husband and I stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary and it was everything we hoped for and more! Our stay took us from Hocking Hills goers to having a new spot! Everything was so clean and cute! The bed and reclining sofa were both very comfortable. The shower was awesome. This cottage truly was magnificent! We saw the horses out to pasture and play from the back deck. The complimentary cinnamon rolls had us going all over town trying to find some similar they were so delicious. I would absolutely recommend this stay and plan on staying here for year number two! :)

This cottage was very cute and quaint. We loved the decor and all the amenities: firepit, hot tub, large spa-like shower. We enjoyed all the little details that made our stay relaxing. The views were fantastic and the quiet, private location was just want we needed. Will be back again!

#### Peaceful Escape

If you are looking for a place to relax in a tranquil location, this is it! The house is beautiful, inside and out. The location is superb, overlooking a valley. Watching horses, birds and other wildlife was so enjoyable. I've stayed in all three homes and this was my favorite for the views.

#### Great getaway

We loved everything about this stay. You open the door to the spicy smell of wood and amazing aesthetic. The pictures don’t do it justice. The welcome treats were appreciated. Reheat those cinnamon buns for 8 minutes at 350 for a delicious treat. The scenery from the front porch was a delight especially in the great rocking chairs. We would definitely stay again!
