Located at West Hollowcombe Farm, it's a delightful rural location for an Exmor holiday! Main Description These are two adjoining cottages with a shared patio within the West Hollowcombe Farm estate, perfect for two families wishing to travel together. We boast some stunning moorland views from the perfect location in Hawkridge: less than 2 miles from the Tarr Steps, 3 miles from Withypool and 4 miles from Dulverton. This is a perfect choice for two families that wish to holiday together - there are wonderful shared spaces including a patio, BBQ area and playground; whilst also providing two standalone cottages with their own facilities (separate kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms). These cosy cottages ooze charm and and are very welcoming! Indoor Description Oodles of charm, comfortable and up to date, the cottages are perfect for a relaxing getaway Outdoor Description Simply put: the best view of Exmoor. The patio faces south overlooking an ancient woodland and a moor. There is a stunning private hot tub to really soak in these views. The playground sits 15 metres from the patio meaning you can watch the kids play whilst relaxing with a glass of wine. Win-win! Parking We have car park! Pets Description Horses are done on a DIY livery basis. There are 4 stables and a turn out paddock available Restricted mobility This has not been completed by the owner. The region Hawkridge sits amongst the hills on the southern side of Exmoor National Park, near the border between Somerset and North Devon, looking out over Anstey Common and Molland Moor. It is a short hop, skip & a jump to the famous Tarr Steps - a beautiful location for a day out (with a half decent pub nearby)! Dulverton is approx 5 miles (15 minutes drive). It is a beautiful town on the banks of the River Barle, known as the southern gateway to Exmoor and it is also home to the head quarters of the Exmoor National Park. Dulverton is well equipped with shops including Post Office, butchers, bakery, fish & chip shop, greengrocer, late-opening supermarket, art gallery, hairdressers, guns and fishing tackle shop. There are also a number of quality boutiques, interesting gift shops plus a handful of lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. Withypool is also approx 5 miles, where you'll find a village shop, tea rooms and pub serving evening meals. South Molton is around 12 miles away and is an interesting and lively country town, with a good selection of shops and pubs. Thursdays and Saturdays are market day with a local market in the historic Pannier Market hall, as well as a busy livestock market. Exmoor provides a great base for walking, cycling, horse riding and exploring. It is also the place for anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautful English countryside. Hawkridge is within easy reach of Tarr Steps, The Chains - a wonderful place for the experienced walker, the Tarka Trail, the North Devon coastal path, Woody Bay and the Valley of the Rocks as well as Lynton and Lynmouth. The beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woollacombe are less than an hour away.
