While the furnishings have been updated a bit since our first stay a few years ago, the floorplan and decor is still very retro. Peach colored tile in the bathroom, large sectional in the living room, low bench in front of the floor to ceiling windows, and a large kitchen with a eating counter and tons of counter space and cupboards may seem dated to some, but we embraced it. Picture the sets of "Madmen!" We enjoyed cooking our meals in the big kitchen, loved having fires both in the outdoor firepit and the stone fireplace in the living room, and loved the easy access to miles of shoreline on the magnificent Lake Superior. Plenty of outdoor space to play yard games in nice weather and kayaks for anyone who wants to explore the big lake. The home is just a few miles from the eateries and attractions in the Canal Park area. We're already planning our next visit. Be sure to clarify directions on how to access the property. It's a bit tricky and our GPS took us out of the way. Once we found it, we remembered the driveway access from our prior visit. ##### Lorrie H.
