Fire Pit Guidelines Pit Construction: \-The pit must be at least 18 inches deep and made of non-burnable material. \-Add 6 inches of gravel at the bottom for safety, making the total depth 24 inches. \-Clear out ashes regularly to keep the pit depth at 18 inches. Safety: \-Keep the pit 15 feet away from anything that can burn. \-Clear 6 feet around the pit of anything that can catch fire. \-Always have someone 18 years or older watching the fire. \-Have at least 10 gallons of water or a hose nearby. This house was perfect! My favorite feature was the long table and benches where everyone could eat together or play games. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the jacuzzi and sauna were wonderful to relax in. There were already some young kids toys there which kept the littles occupied while adults made dinner, and there was Netflix in the living room which was great for family watching in the evening. The house was very near town and Aspen lake and we had a wonderful afternoon picnicing by the creek and fishing in the lake. We didnt even get over to Navajo lake to kayak this trip but it was about 10 or 15 mins away as well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions, no issues at all.
