This is outside Dortmund about half an hour by train. Was convenient for the semi final euro 2024 match although tricky to return by train due to the late hour and changes in the rail scheduling.. Nice rooms and friendly staff

Ich war zum ersten Mal Gast im Hotel. Service und Zimmer waren o.k. Leider war es sehr warm und so haben wir bei geöffnetem Fenster geschlafen, dies ist wegen des Bahnhofes fast unmöglich, leider. Das Zimmer war auf der Bahnhofseite.

Zum Glück überlebt

Meine zweite Übernachtung im Katharinenhof. Wie bei der ersten gab es erstmal nichts zu meckern. Freundlicher Check-in. Geräumiges, sauberes Zimmer, diesmal waren sogar alle Handtücher im Bad, was beim ersten Besuch nicht der Fall war, aber das kann passieren. Beim Check-in direkt nach der Sauna gefragt wo es hieß das sie angemacht wird und es 30 min. dauert bis sie aufgeheizt sind. Also 30 Min. später auf den Weg gemacht. Der Wellnessbereich hat ein eigenes Treppenhaus als Zugang und liegt im Erdgeschoss, was im Treppenhaus selbst nicht ersichtlich ist. Der Wellnessbereich überraschte mich positiv. Eine große finnische, eine etwas kleinere Biosauna sowie eine Dampfsauna, alle aufgeheizt, Duschen und einen kleinen Ruhebereich fand ich vor. Alles Tip top. In der Nacht wieder das Zimmer aufgesucht, wollte noch etwas lesen, das Nachtlicht funktioniert nicht, also Ursachenforschung betrieben, der Stecker war rausgezogen, ich steckte ihn in die Steckdose um im selben Moment festzustellen das er sich in seine Bestandteile auflöst. Glück gehabt, noch mal mit dem Leben davon gekommen. Also schlafen gelegt, gegen 5 Uhr wach geworden, Kopfschmerzen, Ursache ein offensichtlich uraltes Kopfkissen, also den Rest der Nacht das Oberbett als Kissen genutzt. Aufgestanden, geduscht, etwas verwundert war ich das nur ein kleiner Rest Seife im Spender, ok, reichte für mich, aber trotzdem ein Makel. Für Details zum Frühstück reicht der Platz hier leider nicht.
