![Jaksic's Tower was originally built between the 11th and 15th centuries. Its current from dates from 1937.  When the foundations of the nearby Chapel of Saint Petka were being built, bones of Serbian soldiers who died defending Belgrade during WWI were unearthed. They were moved to a specially built ossuary under the tower.

![Situated in Central Belgrade, Tašmajdan Park's history longs to Roman Empire. Stones were extracted from this park, hence Taš (meaning stone in Turkish) and majdan (meaning mining in Turkish). Main attraction at the park is the beautiful St. Marko Church, the second largest church in Belgrade. These beautiful nostalgic trams are operating from the park and they shine perfectly amidst heavy snow.

![This church is dedicated to Saint Sava, who was the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and an important figure in Serbian history. Construction began on the 10 May 1935, although was halted after the invasion of Yugoslavia during WWII. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was perfect and I had a great night’s sleep. The hotel facilities were also impressive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The location is fantastic, close to many attractions, restaurants, and transportation options, which made everything very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I will definitely come back again in the future. Thank you for such a great experience!"

"I book an extra six nights on top of an initial four nights. I am sure it helps to hear about the hotel's laundry service which I found useful for getting some clothing cleaned so I could enjoy my extended stay. The hotel's laundry service has low prices for small items but higher for larger items. It appears that the laundry service is with a third party but I used it twice and it is timely and reliable."
