It is a lovely boutique, micro-resort perfectly situated in the Daintree. Cabins/rooms are a stunning oasis. Serene and relaxing (though the critters can be loud at night). There are only eight cabins in total, so the property is always quiet, with very little human traffic roaming about. Staff are fantastic. Sasha seems to run a one-man show with support from a few others in the background. He offered many suggestions for sightseeing and kindly arranged all of my meals. Merci Sasha - bon travail! The tiny whirlpool is perfect for a cool down from the heat and extreme humidity. Food was excellent and great value. They accommodated my vegetarian needs well and a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Formidable StarLink WiFi in the restaurant/lounge area. The cabin was well equipped and spacious. The dining system worked well and our hostess was knowledgeable and helpful. It's very peaceful, the only noise you'll hear is the animals of the forest Rooms are lovely and comfortable. We felt right at home. It is a very secluded location with every guest having privacy. There are only 7 rooms and each one has a shower with floor to ceiling glass so you feel like you are showering in the rain forest. They provide a great breakfast and also offer dinner. The cabins and public area's are tired and need repair. The individual lodges were very well appointed and tucked away in the forest. When we arrived the staff were very helpful, as they were throughout our four day stay. The meals were varied and imaginative ... well done chef! Diwan is centrally located in the Daintree so the Lodge is a good spot from which to explore.
