« We greatly enjoyed being around nature and watching the horses! The plce was easy to get to. The owners are very nice—their house is a short distance from the property, but it still seemed private. It's quaint and small, perfect size for a couple. Be aware that the stairs to the sleeping area is steep with a dip in the roof at the top one needs to avoid. Lovely! »

« This home was very unique and filled with charm! We loved learning the history of Haines Shoes and the history of the Shoe House. We found the home to have all the comforts of home away from home. The home is decorated beautifully, very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the family room is wonderful for relaxing in the evening. We did not have time for the hot tub and fire pit but hope to the next time we visit. »

« Beautiful cabin and property. Lots of seating and room to enjoy the whole family together. Many amenities and thoughtful items, such as soap bars, shampoo, toothbrushes, coffee, games, fishing items, fire pit with wood, and basically everything you need for a fun, enjoyable time. Wonderful property that is so close to Gettysburg, and staying in a piece of history at the same time. Absolutely perfect! Our whole family could be in one place for our daughter's graduation from Gettysburg College....

« Perfect stay for our scout troop weekend at Hersheypark. The house was clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed and plenty of space for our group. It was a safe quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from the park. As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep and the downstairs much colder than upstairs but overall it was exactly what we needed, would stay here again. »

« Much older home with 2 bathrooms ,one on second floor and one on third floor . There was an awful smell coming from the tub on 3rd, floor. My son being a plumber said it was not vented properly. Bedrooms were all upstairs 2nd and 3rd floor, very comfortable beds and clean, Stairs were narrow and hard to climb for the older ones staying, especially just to go to bathroom. Only 1 parking space for property so any extra vehicles had to park elsewhere away from the house, We had to be dropped off...

« Very clean, charming and comfortable stay- for parents and three adult children and two small dogs. Stayed for son’s graduation from Penn State- Harrisburg. It is in a busy area but inside was private and location close to everything and perfect hangout for kids downstairs. Enjoyed outdoor space and fenced areas for dogs. Would definitely stay again and recommend! »
