Staff were very friendly and helpful. The seaplane transfer from and back to Male airport was effortless thanks to the helpful staff at the airport and at the resort. On our last night at the resort, staff at the restaurant surprised us with a special table, decorated with a dolphin of colored rice, which was delightful. When we left the resort, staff assembled at the seaplane pier to bid us farewell and wish us safe travels and a pleasant trip, which was very heartwarming. We stayed in both a beach villa and a lagoon villa over the water. We were mislead by the reviews being so high but could not see the value of this resort. No tv in room, asked for a room upgrade and didn’t hear back from the front desk until the next day and only because I called them. No room available which was ok but we just wanted an answer. The spa was very nice and professional and so was the dive ocean center. There is really poor communication between this resort and the sea plane transfer company. They need to land on a small barge away from the island the requires a short boat ride. This is ok except any fluctuation in the weather requires the plane to land at a different resort 15 mins away. The room cleanings are at all different times during the day and are sometimes missed. Ac broke for a night but was fixed by the room cleaning. No big deal. My wife and I found ourself talking about how this resort stacked up against LUX and there is really no comparison. Paradiesisch, top zum entspannen. Gute Essens- und Getränkeauswahl. Wer eine Partyinsel erwartet wäre hier falsch, für Entspannung und Traumaussicht ist diese Insel perfekt. Service ist top. Flughafenabholung, Transfer, Bedienung, Housekeeping. Schildkröten Rettungs-Station unbedingt besuchen. Spa Bereich und Massagen waren toll. Preise wie überall auf den Malediven nicht zu unterschätzen. Natura eccezionale, mare stupendo, reef molto bello ma con il corallo che sta soffrendo il caldo. Il mare modifica molto la situazione delle spiagge pertanto in alcuni punti escono alla vista i sacchi usati per contenere la sabbia della spiaggia anche se il personale lavora per contenere l'erosione. Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant und Roomservice waren extrem zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Die Mitarbeiter in der Rezeption waren für Maledivische Verhältnisse leider zu wenig engagiert. Auch die Freundlicheit bei Empfang und Verabschiedung waren sehr dürftig. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir den Kellner Rifarth, die Dame vom Empfang des Restaurantes Neelam & den Koch Ryad. Alle waren stets ansprechbar, hilfsbereit & außergewöhnlich freundlich. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Lediglich der Herr von der Tauchschule wirkte auf uns so unsympathisch, dass wir nach dem Erstkontakt nicht mehr tauchen wollten - das ist aber sicher „Geschmacksache“. Zimmer: Wir haben das Hotel extra gewählt, weil wir nach etwas Bodenständigem & Gemütlichem gesucht haben. Das haben wir bekommen & sind zufrieden. Die Sunset Lagoon Villa lag sichtgeschützt & schattig zwischen vielen Palmen. Der private Strandteil war sonnig & zu den Nachbarn hin ebenfalls sichtgeschützt. Der Zimmerservice kam 2x am Tag & hat sich um alles gekümmert. Einrichtung und Ausstattung: Erwähnen möchten wir hier, dass einige Einrichtungsgegenstände „in die Jahre gekommen sind“. So hatten die Handtücher & Vorhänge im Zimmer teilweise Löcher & Flecken, die Teekannen & Sitzkissen im Restaurant teilweise leichte Risse bzw. Flecken. Auch dem Badminton- & Tennisplatz hat man sein Alter angesehen. We had a lovely stay. Snorkeling gear is complimentary. Go for it! You wont regret snorkeling around the island. Food is excellent. The evening buffet cheges every night! We had a halfboard and therefore we had lunch at the conch bar. Good but expensive. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Cleaning twice a day. This is a well run resort very sympathetic to its environment. A genuine paradise island, not trying to be a flashy hotel, just being good at what it is. Food is of exceptional quality. The buffet doesn’t tire on you and their policy to allow a USD45 pp credit if you want to dine in the Thai restaurant is really good. Rooms are nice and big. Toilet and shower semi-outside may not greet everyone however it’s the same style in most Maldivian resorts (incl the premium ones) and something that really gets you closer to nature (ladies, honestly don’t worry, it’s fine) Highly recommended for those who want to really chill out WiFi is slow. If you want good internet buy a SIM card at one of the two mobile shops at airport (USD32 for 14days 15GB of data and calls) and you can even tether it to a laptop/iPad if you need to, it works really well.
