Private dock will allow you to relax and enjoy recreational boating, fishing, swimming, & on the water fun. Fantastic lake views as you sit lakeside on the deck or around the fire pit. The cottage should have all the amenities you'll need to enjoy Minnesota lake season,. (additional guest quarters available depending on availability) Our minimum stay requirements vary throughout the season, but send a calendar request for dates if you have something specific and we'll work to accommodate requests & put together a package to fit your needs! The 1200 square-foot interior main cottage offers 2-bedrooms, 1 bathroom and up to 6 guests all the comforts of home, including Wi-fi, laundry, bath towels, linens, etc. Full windows in the main bedroom offering amazing lake views. The cottage is stocked with the basic supplies for a perfect vacation with family and friends. Fire pit right next to the water's edge, outdoor shower, and plenty of parking and room for yard games. The kitchen comes fully equipped with amenities including: coffee maker, toaster, blender, pots & pans, utensils, & everything you need to create meals. When night time rolls around, retreat to either of the comfortable 2 bedrooms. Dining/Entertainment - Lake season always brings lots of activity to Detroit Lakes, so if you feel the need for dining, shopping, or events in the area, all the amenities of the city are within a 10 minute drive. Detroit Lakes offers a wide variety of events, shopping, parks, concerts, & restaurants that the entire family can enjoy. With some of the best downtown shops in the area & some great coffee shops and bars, it is sure to give you plenty to do, regardless of the weather. On Lake Sallie you can grab a bite to eat at the world famous Hotel Shoreham, or travel just a few miles to restaurants like Longbridge, Zorbaz, Bleachers, Brygge Taps & Tastes, Hub 41, Lakeside Tavern, The Fireside, & Spitfire Bar & Grill. Boating - When you spend your vacation surrounded by water, it only makes sense that you’ll feel like boating! We have space for you to park your trailer & hook your own boat/pontoon up on either dock. You can also inquire about our rental pontoons, kayaks, paddle boards so you can spend time on the water. Once on the water, Lake Melissa has nearly 1900 acres of recreational boating and fishing. Fishing - Fishing is great throughout the year, so if you do bring your fishing rig, it won’t take you long to find multi-species fishing opportunities. (walleyes, panfish, bass, pike, muskies) You can tie up for the day on Lake Melissa or there are several other lakes within minutes which offer a similar variety of multi-species fishing. (Rental of a fishing pontoon or guided fishing trips are also available) Golfing - Whether you bring clubs for some serious golf or you just want to play a casual round, you have several golf options! Just around the lake, only 2.5 miles away, you have the DL Country Club 18-hole course or their executive course, Lakeview which is their shorter 18-hole course. There are also a variety of other golf courses within a 15-20 minute drive. (Wildflower, Fair Hills, Forest Hills) Biking - Having bikes onsite is nice because you can ride straight from the cabin on paved roads & find your way into town or discover many of the winding county roads that take you through Becker County. There were a lot of items where some handyman work needs to be done (holes in walls, lose kitchen sink, doors closing correctly, baseboard heating, etc...). We were there in October and the evenings were cool so we needed heat but there wasn't an easy way to get the heat turned on. There were three temperature controllers on the walls but it seemed like only one worked. We finally just did each one separately via the dial which helped. The bathroom door did not latch and the doorknob kept falling off. For only one bathroom, had some privacy issues. But, the beds were comfortable, the view of the lake was great and the place was clean for the most part. Not sure I'd recommend it during the fall, winter or spring but given the location to the water, a good spot for the summer. ##### Ben S. The lake was beautiful and even warm enough for a end of summer swim. Firepit was a nice option for cool nights. Dining table and living room were great for games and visitors.
