![Puerto Madryn is protected by the Golfo Nuevo, which is formed by the Península Valdés and the Punta Ninfas. It is an important centre for tourists visiting the natural attractions of the Península Valdés and the coast.

The coastline is inhabited by marine mammals, like sea lions, elephant seals and fur seals. Southern right whales can be found in Golfo Nuevo and Golfo San José, protected bodies of water located between the peninsula and the Patagonian mainland. These baleen whales come here between May and December, for mating and giving birth, because the water in the gulf is quieter and warmer than in the open sea. Orcas can be found off the coast, in the open sea off the peninsula. In this area, they are known to beach themselves on shore to capture sea lions and elephant seals.

The inner part of the peninsula is inhabited by rheas, guanacos and maras. « Excellent hôtel de catégorie moyenne. Nous avions réservé une double standard et nous avons pu avoir une chambre avec une magnifique vue mer. Les chambre vue mer sont un peu petite, mais ce n'est pas une surprise.Hotel très bien placé. WIFI OK. Buffet PDJ correct, mais il n'y est pas proposés d'oeufs. Très contents de notre séjour, nous avons prolongé.jusqu'à notre départ pour Puerto Piramides »

« Lugar muy limpio. Atención y servicio de 10! Linda gente!! Lo que me dio pena es que están refracciónando. Me tocó una habitación con pared mojada, pero como es seco el aire no tenía olor a humedad,ojalá arreglen de pe a pa! Porque volvería. La persiana no andaba y las canillas de ducha perdían. Aunq la ducha hermosa presión!!! El diseño del baño es raro.videt y inodoro en la ducha, es incómodo! Los almohadones pueden tener uno un poquito más de relleno jajaja lo recomendaría ya una vez...

« Reserve una habitación que no daba al mar (no tuve esa opción), pero la que tuve daba al estacionamiento. Horrible. Sin cortinas, solo con black outs enrrollables. Y por sobre todo tolerando un ruido inaceptable toda la noche por unas bombas que estaban justamente en el estacionamiento. Me parece una pena pagar casi usd 185 la noche por una habitación así. Mas allá de eso recalcó el resto del hotel es divino pero NUNCa volvería a ocupar no recomendar esta habitación (tiene 4 así de un total de...
