This unit was fully renovated in January 2021! This beautiful fourth-floor unit has a large living area, fully stocked kitchen with pantry, washer and dryer, and amazing balcony views. The newly renovated Master Bed and Bath is simply amazing! The Master Bedroom features a King Bed and a Private Bath with beautiful walk-in shower, vanity with double sinks, and a separate make-up/dressing vanity area. The Second Bedroom has a King Bed and an adjoining full-size bath. The Third bedroom has a Queen Bed. Plenty of space for everyone with all the amenities of a home! The only draw back was the constant running overhead and neighbor smoking on their balcony as well as on the beach ( literally had to leave our beach chairs and umbrella that came with room several days due to her not following the rules). Docking one star because we had to deal with the smell of cigarette smoke while on the balcony the entire week. The master bedroom was amazing and the other rooms were nice too. It’s in a great location as well. Approximately 3 or 4 minutes from the grocery store, Destin commons, restaurants, and about 15 minutes to the harbor walk. The owner could be reached immediately for any questions we had. As much as you spend to stay here…there should be plenty of toilet paper. There also should be basic tools there. Flashlights too. 5\. There should be as many umbrellas and beach chairs to accommodate all the guests staying at no charge. 6! Maybe offer gift card to guests for staying to local shop to get like rafts for ocean. Other than that the place was very nice. Beds comfy. Maybe not so big pillows. Have some flatter ones. Maybe keep box fans in all bedrooms. Would stay again. It was totally renovated with beautiful beachy decor. The furniture was nice, comfortable and sturdy. Mattresses were very comfortable. The condo was very clean. It was very roomy for 6 adults and an infant. The Crystal Dunes building itself was very nice, clean and well kept. Our only issue was lack of parking spaces when we came back in the evening from being out. I called management and they were quick to respond and even followed up the next day. We had what sounded like a future Olympian above us. He was running up and down the hall and jumping off the bedroom furniture. None of us could sleep until he stopped which was about 11:30PM each evening and we were up as soon as he was usually around 7AM and we love to sleep in on vacation! The Crystal Dunes pool is in front of the property. We prefer out back so we can keep an eye on the kids from the deck while we are enjoying the ocean view. ##### Steve D. Proximity to the beach is phenomenal and the staff there was very accommodating. Close to any shopping or dining you would want, too. The absolute worst WiFi and no cable for kids in the evening. The pool was tiny but clean. The Unit we stayed in needs updating. I expected the amenities to be commiserate with the high price tag. It was beautifully decorated and had a patio balcony with chairs and recliner overlooking the ocean. There is a pool in the front of the building near parking lot. Nothing fancy but very refreshing after a hot day in the sun. Rental comes with one umbrella and 2 beach chairs. It costs 300/wk for additional 2 chairs and umbrella. There is a nearby Walmart.Pretty sure one of the beds was a full and that was pretty much the size of the room with a small dresser.Suggestions for owner:\* Have cleaning service do a more thorough job. My husband had to vacuum and mop the floors as they were not clean. The photos for this listing are not up to date as of 3/13/21\. The overall decor has been updated to a much nicer Coastal theme. The burgundy and mustard colored decor with all the scrolly artwork is gone. The walls are now beige or sky blue depending on the room. The furniture is also updated, except the third bedroom. That room is tiny but accommodates a queen size bed and dresser. The location of this property is good, but it is immediately next to a public beach access. Although the property's beach attendant (who is wonderful!) attempts to rope off the area, at 5:00 when beach service is over the rope comes down and the beach in front of this property is flooded with spring breakers and all those who rented homes across the street. If you are hoping to fish - you will have an abundance of surfers to contend........ Pictures need to be updated to show the much improved decor.
