We were close enough to the boardwalk to walk. We could shop, eat, do the dolphin cruise!! There was a nice little beach practically across the street. The boys (both 14) fished every day and loved it. The only thing that concerned me was the public bathroom attached to the house. It didn’t create a problem though.
