Beach front property Located on the second floor of the penthouse building, this is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit 23 with a king bed in the master bedroom and a walk in shower. 2 double beds in the second bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Step outside to the balcony to enjoy magnificent sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. Listening to the sounds of the wave’s crash on the beach is the ideal way to end a perfect day in Destin. A Short 75 yard walk to beach through a manicured courtyard and you will be playing in the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! Centrally located to the pool, game room, coin laundry, and BBQ grills. Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks. Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge! Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!). Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key. Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes: • Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard • Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest! • Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week. • S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! We enjoyed our stay at the condo, it was very clean and comfortable and the beach can’t be beat it is fantastic. We did have a few miscommunications though . We couldn’t get into the gate when we arrived at the condo at 6:30 pm as we were not given the code. In the directions we were told not to arrive until after 4:00 and there was no one in the security booth to let us in. We later found out that they change the code every week which is crazy. Also we were sent an email that if we wanted beach chairs to contact a person about that. Nowhere was it stated that there was a cost. When we arrived at the beach we were told that the cost was $440 dollars for the 2 weeks. It’s $40 a day plus tax. We decided not to do that and went to the store and bought our own chairs. If chairs are not included that should be stated when we rented the condo so we would have known ahead of time. ##### David M.
