Amenities in the unit include a smart Roku TV, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The apartment is located in the newly renovated R&T Lofts building. We are available 7 days a week 8a.m. -12MID CST You can't get more centered in downtown Des Moines than this apartment. You're a minute's walk from the Court Ave district AND Wells Fargo Arena AND the Civic Center AND the Sculpture park district. The building has access to the skywalk, so even when the weather is bad, you can walk to all of the important places in downtown. The studio apartment is HUGE, it feels more like a 1 bedroom with all the closet space, large bathroom, complete with washer & dryer. Industrial urban decor, super comfy bed, the perfect place to enjoy a weekend (or longer) in downtown DSM! The apartment is located in the newly renovated R&T Lofts building. Very cool "hang out" areas scattered throughout the building for all guests to use. Getting around couldn't be easier. Whether you prefer exploring the city by foot, bike or ride share, your in the center of it all! Great public transit, bike lanes, even sky walks to avoid bad weather! The location was great and communication with the host was prompt and professional. However, there were a few aspects of the stay that could be improved.The unit had a more minimal setup than expected — for example, there were no window coverings in the bedroom, which made it difficult to sleep in after sunrise. The listing photos gave us the impression that the space might be a bit more polished than what we found upon arrival. Some fixtures, like the TV mount, seemed in need of attention, and the towels and kitchen supplies felt limited.While the building had a more short-term rental feel than a residential vibe, the check-in process was smooth and the overall stay was manageable. We tend to be pretty flexible travelers, but based on our experience, this particular property may not be the best fit for everyone. ![This is a picture I shared with the property contact, clearly the blinds existed at some point as there are the insert there. There were also random 3M hanging things with nothing on them. This apartment was in a great location and had a nice roof top sitting area. There are a ton of eating and drinking establishments close by and we were able to walk to Wells Fargo in the sky walk. Towels were very basic. Could go to Walmart and get a few nice sets to have in unit instead of ones so thin they should be in the rag bucket. A hide-abed would be a great addition to this space. the tables & chairs were nice. Owner seemed to over communicate. We were in town for a tournament so just needed a place to sleep. The rooftop access was nice if only it was warmer. Parking garage & skywalk were nice and convenient. Modern industrial style apartment that is in a very convenient location just a block or two from popular downtown spots. Bed is super comfortable and the apartment has very nice bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. Building is very secure and has several common areas with things to do. Had a little trouble checking in as the lockbox with the keys in it was missing the label with the unit number on it, but once we figured out which one it was , it was very smooth sailing.
