The staff were very friendly and helpful, couldnt do enough for you. We had an evening meal and also the continental breakfast both of which were excellent. Free Parking is on site and is locked overnight. There is a Lidel and Tesco within 200m of the hotel. Checkin was prompt and we were allocated a room at the back as requested which was quiet. The room was quite tight with little storage space no desk, limited surfaces to put anything ,with a double bed that was comfortable enough. The bathroom was bit more spacious but in need of updating. A good sized continental breakfast in the morning with hot croissants, toast and fresh coffee; cooked breakfast was available but as an extra charge. We use the Hotel for BSB (British Super Bike) 15mins if Traffic is kind. Staff are 5\* Food and service 5\* The Salmon and I had the Bacon 🍔 WOW!! Reasonably priced. Bedroom adequate for our needs. Just a wee nit pick. Room 10\. The Shower needed to be held as just needed a wee tighten up. Lovely Continental Breakfast. Keep up the good work. We are back in September. The bar is bouncing Saturday Evening. As noise doesn't bother us. Little sleep. Room was very small. Just wide enough for the double bed. Not enough room for a real door on the bathroom, just a sliding panel with no handle. Pillow had a plastic liner of some sort, so i awoke at 4am with damp hair and didnt go back to sleep. At 6am wafts if smoke started to come in the room from people smoking outside. Shower good. Breakfast good. Maybe car park lines need to be redone? Interesting that it’s called the Lawns when there wasn’t a lawn? Wasn’t clear where to go to book in, but was ushered inside by helpful person having a drink outside. Was shown quickly to my room by helpful member of staff. Room was clean and tidy and looked recently refurbished. Nice modern shower room. New hard flooring looked nice but needed attention to detail (gaps between planks). Carpet was worn and had threads pulled from it. Bed looked welcoming, but when I sat on it, it was rock hard and the edges of the mattress were higher than the centre. Maybe could benefit from a new mattress? Lots of pillow choice, however, one of the pillow cases I had a tear in it. Door to shower room kept half closing, so I walked into it a few times as I went into the room and turned round to come out again. The shower cubicle was spacious and clean. New wiring in the wardrobe on view. When I returned in the evening (Saturday night, 10.15) music was playing to guests outside the pub, which finished before midnight. My room was on the back of the building, but it could be heard. Continental breakfast was cereal, toast and jam/marmalade/marmite, a croissant and a pain au chocolate, orange or apple juice and a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast took place in the bar, maybe because of renovations?
