You can watch whales right from your living room during the day while watching fishing boats and the Coast Guard boats go in and out of the world's smallest harbor. The ocean is right below the window so you truly get the view of a lifetime! At night, sit on the deck while viewing gorgeous sunsets while listening to the sound of fog horns and bells ringing in the distance while listening to the pounding sounds of the ocean filling up the small, secluded beach just below. The condominium is located at the edge of the bay and is within easy walking distance to all the shops and eating places in Depoe Bay. While walking along the ocean side boardwalk you are sure to enjoy witnessing nature at its finest as wave's crash up against the rock and water thunders through the spouting horns spraying water along the path. The condominium has two stories; the first level has the primary bedroom with a primary bathroom with a large shower, and a smaller second bedroom with a bathroom with shower. The beautifully decorated primary bedroom has a king size bed which has a picturesque ocean view. A bedroom door opens to the outdoors where you will be sure to enjoy watching the wave's crash against the rocks. The second bedroom is beautifully decorated with a comfortable queen size bed. Both bathrooms are stocked with lots of towels. The second level has the living room area, kitchen, 1/2 bathroom, and full-size washer and dryer. The living room has ample seating for seven with a hide-a-bed, a flat screen TV, DVD, WIFI and a gas fireplace to keep you warm during the winter months. The dining area has a table with seating for six and a kitchen stocked with cooking and eating utensils, a Jen-Air range, dishwasher and microwave. You have all you need to cook a delicious Thanksgiving dinner here! Salt Therapy is approximately 1,400 square feet and is a well-cared for, clean unit with modern decorations and has all the amenities of home. This is truly your home-away-from-home. This home is not pet friendly so please leave your pets at home, or make other arrangements for them. Maximum Occupancy for this property, including adults, children and infants is 6 Occupancy limits cannot be exceeded at any time, including visitors. The view is okay but there is only room for 2 people on a very small deck of the upper level. The large window has a very nice view if you are okay sitting inside. The main bedroom is large and has a beautiful bathroom. The second bedroom has a musty smell, no fan, so I had the window open while we were there. During the day the road noise is louder than the ocean but as it settles down at night it is much more peaceful. We were able to see whales along the shore and had a great sunset to enjoy. ##### Shirley C. I've attached a couple of pictures, 1 is of a significant mold problem in the front bedroom closet. This issue caused our guests to have to sleep on the pull-out sofa, because one of them could not handle the mold smell in the room. The other picture is of the right front window; the shade chain is missing so that operating the shade was next to impossible. And finally, the TV cable remote batteries were dead. Unfortunately, we have seen this issue all too often in rental properties. Overall, we had a great time but are extremely disappointed about the mold issue and not be able to use the room at all. The unit really should not be rented until the mold has been remediated and the cause of it repaired. We saw several whales in the bay from this beautiful overlook. The location is great, near restaurants and shops. The exterior is not impressive. The interior is dated but livable with "coastal grandma" decor.We didn't receive the email with the condo unit number (A-1) nor the key box code as promised. We contacted the property management company to get that info. The condo is next to Hwy 101, the windows/doors are old, and the traffic is loud. There is one parking spot. We discovered giant slugs in a bedroom. We contacted the property management company, and they sent someone out. They didn't find any more slugs, but they did find salamanders in the closet wall. The inside of the closet had recent water damage and smelt musty. The maintenance guy "fixed" the salamander problem by screwing a new piece of sheet rock over the water damaged wall in the closet. When I sent them the photo of the giant slimy slugs to the property management company, along with the slime trail they had left along the carpet, they agreed they were slugs. As far as I know, they didn't do anything about the slug problem. Maybe they thought the slugs were coming from the same place as the salamanders? I advised them the carpets needed to be cleaned due to slug slime. They followed-up with us and apologized several times, then offered us a 20% discount. Weird food splatters on the walls that we felt obligated to clean up and the fire alarms were beeping due to low batteries. Tried to contact the host but didn’t hear back from them on helping us. Kitchen was sparsely furnished with utensils and dishes and coffee cups. There were no paper towels, which is unusual. The view was great. We probably saved the property owner from disaster by placing pans to catch the gallons of water that hit the bed and bedroom flooring and table. An offer to move us was unsatisfactory as it required moving to a different city and the waiving of 50% of one night's fee was hardly compensation for the stress. We were 2 minute walk to Tidal Raves which was an amazing restaurant. Bay View Thai kitchen another great restaurant.
