With summer around the corner, with the busy concert season here in Denver, as well as just amazing tourism opportunitie, The Denver Music House will once again be a very popular choice for VRBO folks! The home is in just the best locale! Close to everything and a most fun music themed environ ! Enjoy the museum like historic Denver Music House. A PRIVATE warmly renovated large 750 square foot one bedroom, one bath/w great room - kitchen 1912 bungalow that feels “like home". Perfect for Red Rocks, and less than 3 miles from downtown, where most concerts, sporting events and Meow Wolf happen! With a record amount of happy guests last summer, we anticipate another great summer season. Join the fun!
My home is your PRIVATE, conveniently located and romantic space for basing your operations while in Denver. We are near a long list of great diverse restaurants! Tennyson Street, 32nd and Lowell, LoHi, LoDo and Downtown are all nearby. The home is located in one of Denver's hippest, hottest, centrally located and a truly historic neighborhoods. Priced BELOW any boutique hotel and most other VRBOSs/ARBNB's of this size and none are this cool! A high end modern inflatable bed turns the living room into a second bedroom!
Or just chill and watch the 70" UHD TV and enjoy the 750mbs high speed internet. There is one private bedroom with queen sized bed and walk in closet. The living room has games, books, and movies for you to enjoy during your stay. The island seats four. The bedroom closet is large and will easily handle your luggage.
The renovated kitchen offers plenty of pots, pans and utensils to help you make delicious meals. A microwave, tea pot, coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas stove, and oven, and dishes are available for you. The open concept guarantees togetherness! And food delivery apps work great to!
The clean cool historic bathroom has an antique claw foot tub with a sturdy shower curtain. The sink and toilet are modern but of an antique style. If you demand a modern fully updated bathroom with a walk in shower, my 1912 beautifully restored home does not have that!
City of Denver Short Term Rental regulations require owners to live in the same home! The original front part of the house is ALL YOURS and is separated by a door at the back of the kitchen to the newer rear addition and basement access. Michael, your host, has his own rear entrance. The front porch has a table and swing for relaxing out doors - this is the smoking room! The unit is all tile floors so there is no build up of animal fur and our animals don’t live in the unit. Your parking and entrance is out front!
Before each rental, I personally clean the unit - and I do a great job! All the tile floors and are vacuumed, and all bedding items are changed for each new guest.. 99% of our previous VRBO guests agree! If you feel you have an issue, I am here to help. Please be as reasonable as I am! We are available for any questions or needs you may have either in person, by text, or phone.
I have 3 Mini dachshunds that live with me in the back.

A bit odd
Upon my arrival the owner was inside the VRBO. The heat was set at 74 and the owner said the thermostat regulated the temp in his home and the attached VRBO. He also noted the windows did not open. Also, I found I was unable to lock the door between his home and the attached VRBO. at my request he installed a lock on the door, brought me a fan for the bedroom, and agreed to adjust the heat to 68 degrees. He also told me he had a vibrating bed in his basement that I could try out. I adamantly declined. I only stayed 7 days of the 30 days I had booked, due to a family emergency. I requested a partial refund but this was declined by the owner.

A great experience
I booked this property to surprise an old friend from high school who is really into music. He enjoyed the history of the place and had a special treat when the owner stopped by and shared stories with him. We also thought the location was great as it was within walking distance of some interesting restaurants, bars, and convenience stores.

Great place. Watch for the exchange rate and hidden fees
The advertising is deceiving on VRBO. Don't look at the average night fee, it's not relective of the actual price you'll pay. Ended up costing me significantly more than the average night fee which I was quoted plus all the closing fees, taxes and vacation taxes. In total it came to significantly more than a hotel room would have cost. . Really not worth that. It's very deceptive how VRBO lists their properties.

Weekend trip to Denver
Let's get the negative out of the way. This place needs a deep clean. It also did have a funk smell when we arrived but I promptly found incense and incense holder that was out and decided to get that going. It cleansed the air a bit. That did the trick at least for us. I still gave it 5 stars. The bathroom grossed me out (shower curtain and floor) I felt like I was staying at a friends place and they weren't too tidy or clean. It made me wonder about the rest of the house and if other things were really clean. We were only there for two nights so I just sucked it up. Let's talk about the good stuff. There is a lot of good to talk about. The house and space is special. I felt honored to stay amongst someone's special accolades and career highlights in the music industry. It was even more fun because we came to Denver to see a show at Red Rocks. Location was spot on. Parking easy peasy. Bed was comfy. The accommodations were very nice (just needed a deep clean) . I really liked the house and vibe. We enjoyed the front porch. We really appreciated the snacks that were left and unopened items in the fridge (like butter/beer etc) was nice. We paid that forward with leaving a beer or two for the next guest. I thought it was quaint to walk into the house with music playing from the TV. That was a nice touch. I would absolutely stay here again, but I would kindly request a deep clean and/or deduct money from my stay and I'll deep clean the place before I go!

5-Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Denver Music House is an absolute lovely musical abode, filled with streaming commercial free music and rock memorabilia! The local area is spectacular, with shopping, food and restaurants. The host is beyond personable and friendly and evens provides complimentary coffee, cream, sweeteners and other kitchen snack starters, to get you going!! This property is highly recommended for a “home-away-from-home” feel!!

Great Time
The house is amazing and was perfect for our stay! Mike is an awesome host. Not only did he provide tips for things to do and see in Denver and the surrounding areas but also provided us a ride home from Red Rocks after a show! I highly recommend the 'Music' house for your stay in the area. The house is a museum of music artifacts and Mike has some awesome stories (like when he interviewed SRV!)

This was very centrally located off the busy streets and only .4 to. 5 miles away from many of the places we visited. Walking distance to many things as well even though we rented car. One bedroom. Owner and son live there but did not hinder us in any way. Our area was completely separate they lived in a built off area in the back and in the basement. Only saw them one time. Very neat set up.

Home away from home
A warm and inviting home. We felt very comfortable and safe here. It was perfectly located for all the events and activities we came for. Extremely clean. We had no concerns about parking on the well lit street out front. Within walking distance of some great little eateries. Even had great conversation with the host. Highly recommend!

Cozy spot for weekend getaway
Spot was cozy - as described in the listing, and Michael was pretty accommodating. I do agree with other reviews that the property is in need of a new bed, but that wouldn’t deter me from staying again or recommending it to others for short stays. Location is good with lots of great eats near by and the neighborhood felt very safe.
