VIEWS, Community Pool, Dog Friendly!, Fitness Center, Clubhouse, tennis, hiking trails, fishing and MORE! 12 miles to Boone and App State. 3 bedrooms/3 full baths. "Star View Cabin" - Powder Horn Mountain THE SPACE HOT TUB and giant fenced deck!! Welcome to Star View Cabin! The space has been setup to accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably. The easy to access main floor includes the kitchen, living room, large dining room table, 1 king bedroom, a bedroom with 4 Twins (2 bunks), and a full bath. Upstairs includes another full bath along with a 1 King Bedroom. Downstairs includes an open family room with tv and space to lounge as well as a 1 Queen bed in the same space. There also is a full bath, laundry room and lower deck access. The new, well equipped kitchen has all full size appliances including a gas range and smaller appliances like crock pot, blender, Keurig and drip coffee maker, cooking utensils and pots and pans, cookie sheets, strainers, knives etc. Exceptionally well stocked for the pickiest cook. Approx. 8 miles to the closest grocery store but Instacart delivers from several stores if anything is forgotten. Wireless Wifi internet has supported multiple people working from home and is Fiber Speed over a hard line. Renters have access to the outdoor pool during the summer months as well as hiking trails, clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, campground, fishing, paddle boating, and more at no additional cost. Don’t forget to star gaze in the amazingly dark sky! Just minutes to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Rocky Knob Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, New River Tubing, horseback riding at Leatherwood Stables, breweries, wineries, camping, fly fishing, and Elk/Laurel Creek, this property is perfect for your next family vacation. Drive less than an hour to ski or snow tube with the kids, 30 minutes to App State football games, and High Country festivals/concerts for more family fun! The house is a great getaway, located just a few hours from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Raleigh. All linens, starter paper towels and toilet paper provided. Dogs welcome with $50 fee, max two. Smoking is prohibited at all cabins and there is a $250 fine for anyone that smokes or vapes inside. Virtual tour is available. There is no additional fee to use the community amenities. Fishing in the ponds within the community is welcome without a permit. If you fish on Elk Creek you will need a fishing license. The ponds are not for swimming but the river at the campground is a great place to take a dip! This house does not have an outdoor firepit but we encourage guests to reserve a campground site for their night of s'mores! Wood burning fireplaces on two levels. Wood is not provided but you can purchase at local grocery stores. Check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. You will easily be able to park two cars in the driveway a third depending on size. Additional vehicles can be parked in the overflow lot by the clubhouse. Other things to note You do not need 4wd unless we are expecting a nasty storm and you need to get out right away. Please be prepared for those situations. There is a gated entry to the community and you do need to come in the front gate. You will get a guest pass at the front gate when you check in during normal business hours or on Sat from 7am till 5pm. If you arrive in the evening please just pick up your pass the next day. \- No Smoking \- No Parties/Events \- Pets allowed - Dogs only MAX 2\. A $50 Pet Fee PER PUP will be charged after booking \- A signed rental agreement is required to fully confirm this booking. \- ALL Trash must be bagged in large kitchen bags, including pup pick up bags. $25 fee per bag if it doesn't fit in the provided outside trash container. We absolutely loved this property--from the beautiful views off the back deck to the thoughtful touches in the kitchen, living areas and kids play areas, the house itself was amazing for our group of 9\. The hot tub was a hit, as well as the games, toys and cozy blankets and pillows. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen, with numerous appliances and tons of storage. Beds were comfortable and there was always plenty of space to spread out. The community itself was a selling point for us--we absolutely loved the creek access and the campground, and we made sure to visit the pool, game room, playground and paddle boats.Great location overall, with the closest grocery store about 20-25 minutes away. The roads are windy and cell coverage is spotty, but we made it work with pre-planning and making sure we grabbed items coming or going from the different outings. ##### Lauren T. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. Our kiddos loved the bunk beds and basement room to get away and relax. The view of the stars at night was just beautiful. Although it is a little drive off the main road (approx 20 min) in the day it's is not bad. Us out of towners were a little intimidated at night but it's not a horrible drive. Overall we had an amazing time and even loved the day the fog came in. We felt like we were in the clouds. We also liked how much there is to do in the community itself like hiking and games in the community center. Book it you will not regret it! ##### Maria E. First… the good: Beautiful makeover of a 90’s (my guess) house. Open floor plan in the den….beautiful view out the windows. If you’re planning on staying in Deep Gap or around the house… it would he great. Great patio/outside area. If you’re like us and GO during the day… you would likely be better off some other place. The upstairs bed was comfy. The downstairs bed was comfy although low to the ground. Great kids room. We arrived at night. When I say PITCH dark… I mean DARK! The house if down a VERY winding road…about 20 min off the main road. You are 2.1 miles from the house once you get to the gate of the neighborhood. The house is at the VERY end of the neighborhood. The house is not well marked by the road and there wasn’t a single light on. Of any sort. I don’t think I’ve ever rented with ZERO lights on. We can see well at night and it was still hard. The light switch inside the door does not turn on the lights inside. Somewhat confusing switches. The upstairs bedroom overhead light would start flashing after it was on for 15-20 min and wouldn’t stop until you turned the light on and off. Overall a good stay but much more fitting for someone not leaving. ##### Debbie T. Now I know why the house is called “Starview.” I haven’t seen stars that numerous and bright in years. Well appointed kitchen. Also very simple check-in and check-out processes. Susan was our host. The cabin is decorated so beautifully and provided plenty of room for our family. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view and the quiet nights. Great place for a family for the price. The owners were great to work with and responsive to my questions before booking. The cleaning crew didn’t empty the trash bins between our stay and the previous guests. So they were full and we had to make a trip to the County Landfill during the stay. I wouldn’t say this is the owners fault just a misstep by the cleaning team. The cleanliness inside the home was great. ##### Robbie V. The house was clean and neat and well appointed. Communication with the property manager was great.
