The perfect getaway location just outside of Davis, WV. Situated on the mountainside overlooking the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, the views from this cozy cabin are nothing short of spectacular.
Canaan Valley, truly the mid-Atlantics playground, is nestled in the scenic Hills of West Virginia, and boasts world-class skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and golfing. With easy access to National Forest Lands, Wildlife Refuge, Wilderness areas, and two State Parks, explore the endless possibilities here. Your family will enjoy our quaint mountain towns and shop or browse in our many antique, gift and specialty shops or enjoy some fairs and festivals.
Tucker County has 4 breathtaking seasons to enjoy. In the winter, we pick up much of our annual 150 snowfall from the Great Lakes whenever strong Northwesterly winds drop out of Canada. Spring brings some of the best hunting and fishing, and wildflowers. Escape the heat of summer where temperatures rarely exceed the mid 80s. Autumn brings cool temperatures and blazing colors of our extensive hardwood forests.

The cabin itself was beautiful and very well maintained. We really enjoyed spending time there with its beautiful views, from both inside and outside. It had everything we needed, and was a short drive from Davis and Blackwater Falls State Park. We would definitely come back to this area and stay here again.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in the mountains. The cabin had a very relaxing and cozy atmosphere with the fireplace and overall decor. Everything was well equipped from the bathrooms, closets and kitchen with everything we could need. Our favorite part was the amazing view of the mountains from the front of the property. We hope to come back again! Everyone was helpful and easy to reach!

This property is beautiful. The firepit was an unexpected treat. The hot tub needed water when we checked in, but it made it up to max heat quickly. Secluded but close to everything at the same time. Beautiful views and quiet location. We are planning on making this an annual trip! Even with COVID guidelines my inquiries were answered in q timely fashion.

This place is very nice. Views from the windows facing the southern valley are spectacular. Loved the area and the neighboring towns of Davis and Thomas. The property is nicely secluded on a gravel mountain road just off a paved road that is not busy. The hiking in the area was great. My only complaint is the check in process which included an extra 10 minute drive to a realty office where I received not a key but the four digit code to the door. This could have been emailed in my opinion. Also, the garbage needed to be discarded at the same realty office which was a 10 minute drive out of our way in each direction. Not convenient at all.

#### Long weekend - lovely view
The property was perfect for our short weekend stay. The view lived up to the previous reviews. It snowed during our stay which added to the beauty. The cabin and the process of confirming it was easy and convenient. The cabin had the basic kitchen needs and also some games to play with the kids. If I had to suggest anything it would be to add directions for the fire place remote. It was not pairing with the fireplace, but someone from the main office came over quickly to fix it. It worked out perfect especially as a snow storm came through. The cabin is conveniently located between the parks and snow resorts. The Main Street in Davis and Thomas were lovely. We especially enjoyed the purple fiddle.

The whole house was beautiful! We loved the barn doors to the master bedroom as well as the bathroom and the hot tub! We absolutely loved our stay at Country Mile. We would go back in a heartbeat. The views across the valley and up into the mountain range was breathtaking - especially in the mornings when the fog was covering the valley and we felt as though we were living in the clouds. The house was well-appointed, tidy, and just all around perfect for our three night stay. We hope to be able to come back and stay for a week next time! I keep saying that I've GOT to try Hellbender Burritos since they were closed during our visit! Everyone was super helpful! Granted, everything had to be done over the phone since the office was closed for health and safety precautions, but all of our needs were met and questions answered!
