"Our Second Annual Sibling Retreat was truly one for the memory books! This beautiful cabin was the perfect place for us to reconnect, relax, laugh, and make wonderful memories together.The cabin was spotless, spacious, beautifully appointed, and had breathtaking mountain views. We loved hiking right from the property to David Falls and Catawba’s Upper and Lower Falls, playing cornhole and ladder ball, and spending hours together around the amazing gathering space. We also enjoyed exploring the corn maze and downtown Black Mountain.From the cozy fireplace to the gas fire pit, every detail made us feel right at home. It was everything we could have hoped for in a sibling getaway!Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!"

"Everything was exactly as described if not better. They truly set up the rental with just about everything in mind, all we really had to do was check in and check out. The location was perfect and the views were spectacular. Our hosts kept in touch with us about any changes and were open to any questions we might have had. The suggestions they had for the area was wonderful. I can think of anything but positives. If anyone is looking for a place to go where you can have beautiful view, the perfect accommodations and all the peace and quiet you can want to relax, I can't think of another place to get all that but Mountain Lure. Thanks for making our trip a success"

"Very nice spacious cabin. Hosts were great with communication and even left us a gift basket when we arrived. We had a group of 12 and had plenty of space and totally enjoyed our 5 days there. Easy access to the community and the cabin. Highly recommend"

"Spacious home with a lovely view. An easy drive up paved roads to reach the property. Comfortable seating area on both floors. If you enjoy eating in, you’ll love the kitchen which is stocked with nice quality cooking supplies. If you prefer eating out, a quick trip to Old Fort or slightly longer drive to Black Mountain gave us some nice options for lunch, cocktails, and dinner."

"Our family with grown children and a grandchild stayed in this beautiful, spacious home secluded in the mountains. With three levels, everyone had plenty of space to spread out with multiple seating areas. The host even provided a travel crib. We enjoyed sitting around the porch fire pit in the late afternoons. One evening, we were gathered around the outdoor fire pit for smores. One afternoon, we saw a mother bear and two cubs come up to the car port area! (We watched them from inside the house.) Being surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape of the mountains was very relaxing. Our grown children really enjoyed using the sauna as well as the hot tub. There is also a large game room as well. Something for everyone of all ages in the house! I would highly recommend this place in the mountains."

"The layout of this property was my favorite part. We used it for a family get together of several adults and one teen so having private rooms and bathrooms was our priority. That worked out perfectly. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the ability to watch a movie downstairs. We thought there would be a little more of a mountain-top view from the photos, but perhaps tree growth changed that. The kitchen was large and easy to cook in and the laundry room came in handy. Two small disappointments were some of the bedding and the comfort of the twin mattresses. Two adults ended up sleeping in the twins room and while less comfortable mattresses might be ok for kids, it was not pleasant as an adult. Some of the top blankets on beds were not fresh and looked dingy. We washed one of them on the king bed. It looked and smelled better afterward. Some kitchen items were not as clean as they could have been as well. However, the larger mattresses were quite comfortable and there were ample towels for baths and hot tub. We do suggest a small reminder to guests about bears. We did have a visitor confiscate a small bag of granola from an open car door after just a few minutes of having brought groceries in the house. It was not upsetting but suggest a friendly reminder to guests. There is also a fairly pleasant sleeper sofa in the downstairs. Proximity to other towns was also very easy and convenient. The space is warmly decorated and cozy even for being so large in the main living room."
