The home is spotless, beautiful and the ocean is right out the back door. If we weren’t on the beach we were on the back porch. The beach is perfect! No crowds, no stress! The low tide would be amazing for children to run and play. We explored the island some but it was hard to tear ourselves away from the property. If you get the chance - GO! The house is truly steps from the beach with some great trees for Enos! We spent several afternoons swaying in the ocean breezes and napping to the sound of the surf. We loved long walks with the company of our dogs playing in the surf and chasing the birds. Sitting on the beach with only a few other families and seeing crowded Hilton Head across the horizon sharing the same surf was delightful. The house itself was just the right-size with 3 teen boys! Mar 21, 2018 #### Wonderful Historical Place My husband and I traveled to Daufuskie Island for the first time. The ferry ride was wonderful and they know their stuff! Our cottage was beautiful with a view to match. Let me first compliment Deborah Smith for her assistance and excellent overview of the cottage, island, things to see, and generally anything we needed to know!! The cottage was clean and comfy. People on the island were really wonderful, from the transportation people to the golf cart people and anyone else who wanted to make sure we had a wonderful first trip to the island. The two restaurants were great-I must really call out Lucy Bell's for their mouthwatering food and kind manner. I must really suggest going to Daufuskie Blues, School Grounds, and the rum distillery. We still didn't get to see everything I wanted, but that is what second, third, fourth, etc. trips are for. Can't want to come back. Go to Daufuskie Island - it is great!!! ##### Christi H. We didn’t leave the house on Thursday with bad weather, but the house was perfect for lounging around and cooking our Thanksgiving meal.
