Nearest train station is Totnes, approximately 12 miles away. Parking: There is no allocated parking and therefore we advise that you plan ahead. There are several local options nearby. Free parking can sometimes be found (though not guaranteed), and there are paid options available as well. The main central car park is Payby Phone App controlled and is approx. 15 minute walk away. Many visitors have found the 'Just Park' app helpful in securing a spot, so it’s worth looking into if you want to plan ahead. Between 1st October and 30th April there are lots of free and unlimited spaces throughout the town, the majority of those being on 'Newcomen Road and South Town' or 'Embankment Road' which is the road that runs along the entire river. During the main season (May-September) the 'Park and Ride' offers the best solution with regular buses running through the day. Dart Loft. The location was perfect for exploring the town and river, and it was relatively straightforward to find somewhere to park while we unloaded the car. It is a very nice apartment very centrally located within easy reach of the lovely shops and numerous restaurants and pubs in Dartmouth. The apartment is very well equipped with very comfortable beds and nice bedding and also hot and powerful showers. A couple of issues, a handrail is needed for the second flight of stairs up to the apartment and also the shower room on the top floor is rather cramped. Apart from these couple if problems we would thoroughly recommend the apartment. ##### Angela W. The apartment is beautifully designed and exceptionally clean, with thoughtful attention to every detail. The bedding and pillows offer a luxurious, hotel-like feel, and the kitchen is well-equipped with high-quality utensils and appliances. We especially appreciated the lovely welcome pack, which included tea, coffee, sugar, jam — and even toys for the kids! The host was kind, responsive, and communicated excellently throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth and effortless. The location is also a highlight — right in the vibrant heart of Dartmouth, with easy access to shops, cafés, and the waterfront.
